That's a scam. The building shown houses many small businesses. They had maybe 5 employees and 2 machines a couple months ago, but orders are not being fulfilled and they're not answering the phone. I saw the local news report weeks ago. And their stuff is not CDC approved, nor even submitted for approval.

I ordered from them and my order last week..it took a while but the quality is good.
https://www.kxan.com/news/local/1...ugerville/ I guess the local news cannot be trust either right? because its all "FAKE NEWS"
And if you said it a scam..go report them Stick Out Tongue ...

Ordered 100 masks from Armburst on 5/23 for an estimated ship date of June 5th (listed on order page at that time).
Received 120 masks on 6/20. 20 more they throw in as a bonus.

They received orders of 1.6 million masks in the first 3 days according to an email from the owner. They did apologize they were delayed in shipping out the masks due to the unexpected volumes of order.
I did emailed them back and got a reply within 1 hour. Excellent service.

Great quality masks. Strong nose metal wire that holds its shape better than any Chinese generic I have used.

Just to share the facts and my experience with Armburst.

Yeah, same for me..I ordered 50 and got 60.

Someone actually educated, and spreading accurate knowledge not regurgitated facebook post from a Karen calling it gospel.

Your on point with everything, (as someone in safety, who daily fit tests staff in a houston medical center hospital covid unit)
Actually, the difference in standards between N95 and KN95 is negligible and not a factor to consider when looking for masks, even per 3M's own website. https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/med...ses-tb.pdf Which is why KN95 masks (and other N95 equivalents from foreign countries) are allowed to be imported and sold in the US during emergencies such as the current pandemic. Bottom line is, a badly made N95 mask is as dangerous as a badly made KN95 mask, so make sure you buy from a reputable source.

based on my research, pm2.5 filters only stop particles as small as 2.5 microns. these coronavirus particles are around 0.125 micron in size. 2626 KN95 masks have a 95%+ efficiency of stopping particles .3 micron in size with the ability to filter particles .007 micron in size.

I'm not a scientist, but idk why someone would recommend a pm2.5 filter in a cloth mask over this...that doesn't make any sense to me.
Keep in mind the virus hitches a ride on droplets spewed by an infected person by talking, coughing, sneezing, singing etc. these droplets are much bigger. And most will get caught by a cloth mask. And the biggest trade off is breathability for a non N95 mask. I tried the KN95 and could only wear it for an hour or so until it got to uncomfortable to wear. So now I wear an N95 when I go into work and once I sit down and get settled I use a cloth mask.

Long story short, none of these $10/10pk (or $20) kn95 masks that come up are legit rated masks you can trust, seems to be what I'm gathering from reading all the threads.

10 KN95 masks for $20 through Wyze... I've seen people through here generally be okay with Wyze, I know none of these are usually too reliable but good price... Have only seen these on Wyze for $30 for 10 before, hope this is useful.

I have these and have some more on order. They work well for me. KN95 has much better seal than the surgical type masks, so I use these when going to the grocery store. I resuse them, but let them sit out for 3 days before re-using, this assumes they don't get dirty or wet which would probably reduce their effectiveness. KN95 has earloops rather than the head straps the 3M N95 masks have, but of course good luck trying to buy those at any reasonable price. The ear loops fit tighter than the surgical-type masks I've used, which means they seal pretty well but can also be a bit annoying/irritating after wearing them for awhile. I don't remember being as annoyed with the 3M N95.
Letting them sit out to reuse them is not good. They need to be placed on a paper brown bag. Remember they're collecting particles every time they're exposed. Never touch the outside of any mask. I like the Kn95's because of the ear loops. At work, I wear the KN95's with a surgical mask over them. When exposed to a covid patient, I discard the surgical mask and use a new one. Not easy to breathe, but the safest way to use them. I never heard of KN95's until the pandemic. We've always used N95's and they're only supposed to be used for a total of 6 hours. Reusing only became ok when they were short on supply. Not sure then time length for the KN95's.

Where do you get a 2.5pm filter?
Hope this helps!
Amazon or ebay are selling for 50-100 cents a piece but what bothers me most is packaging and reputable manufactures are hard to figure out. Seems everyone in China is making these filters/masks!
In most cases, seems sellers are buying it from China in bulk and repackaging it at their home/facilities here.Which to me is concerning.
During normal time I wouldn't have bothered about it but its not the case anymore Frown

It is super confusing however I have found something that might seems to be the solution. Check out this Filti [filti.com] (rated MERV 16) to use as filter (or buy bigger sheet). It's USA based company. I ordered 20 pack recently and hope it does what it claims.
I have also ordered PM2.5 activated carbon filter (Chinese) from Amazon.Maybe I will end up using both and/or use normal disposable face mask with it.

This would make sense if Wyze were in the medical supplies business... but they've not. They appear to be in the quick buck business.

Many tested have failed blocking particles even at 50% of the Chinese standard.

Such as these recalled by Canada:

https://healthycanadians.gc.ca/re...7a-eng.php

I suggest you read up on the subject.

ANYTHING posted on SD has turned out to be crap.
But it's Wyze! More than 10,000 fake thumbs/comments for every real one.
