I've been buying kn95's on eBay, $9.59 for 10. Good quality (from what I can tell), and actually fit well (Seller jp-genuine). Hated the surgical type that kept getting in my line of vision, hated the 2pk of cloth ones from Target that felt like my ears were being torn from my head, and the dust masks left a circle on my face for a while after use.
There is no way those are legit. They aren't branded with anything but KN95; do you have any pictures of the actual imprint with the date/etc?

10% of the reviews are stating they are low quality fakes that leak water and the nose bands aren't property added into the fabric and instead are glued in place and fall off.

Really shouldn't recommend such low quality products against obviously certified products.

The my are fake and offer no extra protection. Real masks have straps that go around the head not just the ears. Research before you buy.

FYI - https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/u...tResp.html

Not sure if there on here but this is a listing of those that are not Niosh approved.

Edited: scroll down and you can see they are CDC approved...

based on my research, pm2.5 filters only stop particles as small as 2.5 microns. these coronavirus particles are around 0.125 micron in size. 2626 KN95 masks have a 95%+ efficiency of stopping particles .3 micron in size with the ability to filter particles .007 micron in size.

I'm not a scientist, but idk why someone would recommend a pm2.5 filter in a cloth mask over this...that doesn't make any sense to me.
Great question. COVID will likely be attached to an aerosol i.e. (spittle and spray from the mouth) so depending on humidity likely a much larger particle than the virus itself. Even if the particle is less then 2.5 micron it will still lower your exposure because the particle has to take a torturous path (think of it as a maze rather than a straight shot) through the mask . Anything over your mouth and nose will reduce your exposure. You can google performance studies related to air pollution (smoke, pollen etc.) with the smaller particle sizes the masks still performed well albeit some below the 95% range. The CDC has some good technical papers, and I can tell you lab mice got sick with the flu 24 hrs after a room was exposed to the flu virus. Protect your airways. There is also good information from OSHA and other agencies and masks are totally safe to wear. Don't believe these scientifically illiterate knuckle heads telling folks not to wear a mask.

Obviously certified?

These aren't even made in the US, wyze is just as clueless as you are to the quality of these. They negotiated a price, likely with a company in their normal supply chain (electronics), so yeah "obviously certified." Lmao

You lack comprehension skills. I was stating that the user I replied to was posting ebay knock offs that do not have performance standard codes printed on them. OP's deal does have the standard code prints. The ebay knock-offs aren't even good in terms of trying to even look like a legit product. Quit being a weird flex champ.

KN95 masks are supposed to be stamped with performance standard codes such as GB2626-2006 like the ones from Sun Joe. The ones posted here only have KN95 with no performance standard code imprint and the nose clamp is glued into placed outside of the mask. These are the two biggest signs of a knockoff that won't pass performance standards.

How many more obvious signs do you need that they're knockoffs? I work for Emergency Management and the ones provided via the government contracts look nothing like these in any aspect at all. Feel free to test them yourselves but they don't even pass the eye test. They're your lungs though troll, so you do you.

Their surgical masks are great. They are durable and definitely can tell it seals pretty well. Of course not as tight as N95, but my husband and I both like it.

Unless you have a source saying these are garbage your opinions are pretty irrelevant and trolling.
Maybe spend less time trolling and more time helping

i think you're commenting in the wrong thread. the masks in the OP here clearly have the GB2626-2006 marking and the nose clamp is within the layers of the mask.

My post was in response to the user's ebay seller suggestion. He is just a weird champ that is arguing due to lack of anything else to do. He tried to suggest ebay was a better place to buy masks yet it's clear they're knockoffs and he's promoting a bad seller.

They were suggesting buying off ebay seller jp-genuine. It's a guy who sells car parts on ebay. The fact that anyone is suggesting they are selling legit masks are taking away from a legit retailer like the one provided by you.

It says disposable. So, are these "use once and throw away" type masks?
Pretty much all of these type of masks are disposable. We are told to reuse masks 5 shifts before getting a new one. Before the pandemic it was wear once and throw away.
