Can anyone comment on the quality of their surgical masks?
Its rough and uncomfortable to wear, The chinese ones are better. Its like putting manila paper on your face.

I believe its more reliable than those chinese ones, but less comfortable due to the texture.

Just received my order of 20.....horrible quality. The ear loops were huge on the first one I pulled out of the box to the point of zero seal on my face. The Sun Joe ones I ordered are leaps and bounds better in quality.

dude, you can tight the ear loops and make it tighter on your head. easy fixed.

Be care the loops may break if you are rough.

I'm going on a limb here, but I'm guessing everybody's face is different. The Snowjoe ones are tight for me because of where the loops are attached to the mask, besides it being a tiny smaller overall. The loop attachment is the main difference between these two masks. For me the Snowjoe also folds funny on the lower part because of the loop attachment. But since there's a chance that everybody's face is different, then everybody's opinion may vary.

My suggestion is if you have smaller face go with Joe, if not go with Wyze. Or buy both and the next time you'll know which one you like the most. Because there will be a next time. Which btw brings the subject of whether these masks are approved by the cdc, ftc, or cccp.

At this point it doesn't matter who approves them! They are better than bandanas, surgical masks, or home made masks. And we can't get anything better. Bitching that they are not good is like that castaway guy that landed in a south pacific island populated only by women. But he tried to avoid them because they were all ugly EEK!

So unless you can post a better mask, keep your whine to yourself because you're just adding to the confusion.

Attached are the two masks showing the loop attachments.

I have these and have some more on order. They work well for me. KN95 has much better seal than the surgical type masks, so I use these when going to the grocery store. I resuse them, but let them sit out for 3 days before re-using, this assumes they don't get dirty or wet which would probably reduce their effectiveness. KN95 has earloops rather than the head straps the 3M N95 masks have, but of course good luck trying to buy those at any reasonable price. The ear loops fit tighter than the surgical-type masks I've used, which means they seal pretty well but can also be a bit annoying/irritating after wearing them for awhile. I don't remember being as annoyed with the 3M N95.
I hate the head loop n95, have 10 or so from fire season but don't use. Feel like it makes me look like tard + already had covid a dozen times. laugh out loud

you're spot on. the sun joe is too small for my big head. i constantly need to rearrange and pull back under chin and nose curls up. then tight ear straps fn pulls my ear fwd and look like dumbo. i have a beard so it's not like i'm getting a seal anyway, f it laugh out loud

fda approved seems meaningless to me in the context of this administration operation warp speed but I'm getting 10 pk from wyze and 10pk from bonafide. note, it's only 10c more after save5 code and fact wyze (at least for CA) charges tax.

CDC:

Signs that a respirator may be counterfeit:

No markings at all on the filtering facepiece respirator
No approval (TC) number on filtering facepiece respirator or headband
No NIOSH markings
NIOSH spelled incorrectly
Presence of decorative fabric or other decorative add-ons (e.g., sequins)
Claims for the of approval for children (NIOSH does not approve any type of respiratory protection for children)
Filtering facepiece respirator has ear loops instead of headbands

Thank you for this post. It looks like this mask doesn't have any NIOSH markings on it. I wonder why you were downvoted so much.

Probably for the same reason people think the virus is a hoax or that the CDC lies, or they walk around with a mask and their noses sticking out or refuse to wear one: there's lots of morons out there.

Thanks and repped. Will be buying these instead as they're also on the CDC list.
