Steam is having a sale on Tabletop Simulator. It lets you play/create tabletop games. The community made tons of content that you may import to enjoy.

This sale matches the Humble Bundle sale that ended earlier today. The four pack, however, is an even better deal. This is ideal to split with friends/family to play a virtual tabletop game while still socially distancing.

Update: As others have mentioned, Steam is running a "Road Trip Special" with $5 off $30 if you add a filler game to the 4-pack. This $5 off is automatically applied at checkout.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

If you add Payday 2 for $.99 then the $5 of $30 promo kicks in for the 4 pack bringing the total to $25.98

*Okhlos Prototypes is a $.24 game that will allow you to get the promo, but you might actually get some use from Payday 2 for $.75 more.
One option is to get Deus Ex GOTY for $.97
It looks like you buy 4 copies and one is permanently attached to that account. I believe the other three copies may be gifted.

I am confused about this. Normally Steam does not give you extra copies. If I buy through Steam, how do I buy the 4 pack and not have 3 wasted copies? Do I buy as a gift?

Great game. We've been using this to play Hogwarts Battle with another couple on the other side of the country!

This is an OK game, but if I remember correctly... when you import custom games, you have to consciously know and follow the rules. (As well as watch for others - if they're doing things properly). There won't be anything preventing you or anyone else from randomly moving items on the board where they shouldn't be, doing things when it isn't their turn, etc

How easy is it to search for other online players for Workshop downloads?

Sure... There are some ports that actually enforce rules, but it seems like a lot of boardgame type PC games have issues

This is literally just a virtual game board. You can even flip the board/table if you want. Anything that you could theoretically get away with in person, you can do on this virtual game board.

There are a lot of games with scripting. This scripting usually automates actions where cheating may occur such as distribution of resources during a production phase, etc. You just subscribe to the game on the steam workshop and you are usually good-to-go.

Every game is a little bit different and scripting is up to the modder. Hope this helps!

Yes - that's my point. I would've preferred something with enforced rules - partly because I don't always remember them, and partly because it reduces chances of another player ruining the board
