Seems to be a pretty good price on this TV.

We don't have many high quality reviews of the hisense yet, but last year's model (h9f) isn't quite as good, especially for movies. In depth comparison here: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...eshold=0.1

Very similar in testing, with the Samsung doing a bit better at movies/HDR content viewed head on, and the Vizio a bit better for if you care about wide viewing angles (multiple couches). However, consumer reviews have tons of complaints about this model of Vizio's reliability , which you don't see for the Samsung. Comparison: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...eshold=0.1
No, QLED is a marketing gimmick. QLED is just an LED TV with a quantum dot enhancement film over the LED backlight used to bring out more saturated colors. OLEDs have millions of pixels that can turn off and on creating true blacks. OLED is the true upgrade path from plasma if you like deep blacks.
Slickdeals, where every TV is crap and missing a feature.

Yes Samsung is being tricky with this years model designations. I noticed the 2020 q70t is about the same as the 2019 q60r, so the q70r here is between the 2020 q70t and q80t. I'm not sure if I should go with this one that has better contrast or the 2020 q80t which is slightly better overall but has poorer contrast.

Vizio, it has more dimming zones, highest contrast and deeper blacks.
Only challenge is getting the right panel, but customer service is super friendly and can request for replacement if panel is bad.

I'll stick with Vizio then. I got it at Costco for 899 but the panel is bad. Replacement coming on Wednesday ... but figured it was good opportunity to switch if need be at I'm 5 days off the Costco 90 day return

H9g for brighter room viewing, q70r for darker room viewing

Depends when and where you mostly watch tv

How can you tell whether you have a bad panel? Looking to purchase two vizios for the new house. Thanks!

I've heard great things about the Hisense H9G, what makes you say it's better to get Samsung?
