FWIW, purchased one a few years ago and used it only twice. When I tried to use it again two years later, it just crapped out and started leaking.

Not the exact model but one from them.

usually pressure washing a car is not necessary. most people do just fine with a foam cannon and hose. if you have to use a pressure washer always use the lowest setting possible and be conscious of the nozzle distance to the cars paint. also be careful around anyplace where there are electrical connectors to prevent water from migrating into the connectors and ruining them. NEVER use a pressure washer under the hood.
So the foamier suds isn't necessary to lift debris from the paint? I've been thinking of getting a pressure washer and properly take care of my newer vehicle's paint.

There is also a Greenworks 1700-PSI 1.2-GPM (Model # GPW1704) on sale for the same price ($79) at Lowe's - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Greenwor...1000497513
The GPW1704 has more 5-star ratings than the 1800-PSI one in the OP (Model # GPW1804TN). The OP model has additional rated 100-PSI in exchange for lower rated flow by 0.1 GPM.
Wondering which one to get?

Has anyone compared these specific models - I am getting confused which one to get among them (or if there is a better comparable option in similar price range) -

  2. Sun Joe SPX3200 - Claimed Max PSI - 2030, Claimed 1.76 GPM, Current Price - $135, Historical Best Price - $120 from Sun Joe from May 2019
  3. Westinghouse ePX3000 - Claimed Max PSI - 2030, Claimed 1.76 GPM, Current Price - $135, Historical Best Price - $135 from Amazon / Lowe's
  4. Karcher K1700 / Cube - Claimed Max PSI - 1700, Claimed 1.2 GPM, Current Price - $128, Historical Best Price - $90 from BB&B

All I can tell you is that the sunjose lies about it's rated pressure.

I'm going to get the one op listed. It's smaller and might still get the job done. Running out of garage space. That will also give me a chance to compare the two and report back.

In Garage Obsessed's The Pressure Washing Project, Ep 4 Greenworks Product Line Part 1 at around the 20:17 time mark, he tests the 1700psi model of the Greenworks and compares it to the Ryobi 1600. He basically breaks down that it's the same unit with slightly better build quality and more standardized parts. Both pressure washers are more powerful than the Sun Joe SPX3500 that he also tests.

And this is the link to Garage Obsessed Episode spreadsheet https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1...1585925056

These review was very helpful, I am also cancelling my Sun Joe order from Amazon and getting this one instead. I don't mind not having the cart as it saves storage space on my garage.

I ordered a powerstroke 2000psi [homedepot.com] from HD last week for 109. Its scheduled to be delivered Monday. Anyone have experience between that brand vs the Green works listed here?

A pressure washer is the best way to use a foam cannon properly....... A hose isn't gonna get the same results and suds

Yes and no, the more foam the less raw soap you need to use and the longer it can sit there the more grime it can pull but a bigger factor in how clean your car is what type of soap you use, the vast majority use PH neutral soaps for the sake of protecting the wax but since it doesn't pull the wax it never really pulls out the tougher dirt and grime from the car. I've found it's better to use non-neutral soap and just apply meguirs fast finish after every wash, this video is a good summary as to why

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCnMZNq4ot0

just make sure its the purple power VEHICLE AND BOAT wash, not the regular purple power which for some reason is also found in walmart's auto wash isle....

The pice is very attractive, but if you compare the ratings it just has 4 Stars ffrom a total of 12 reviews versus the Ryobi @ Home depot which has 4.6 Stars from 5608 reviews. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI...er_reviews. Buyer beware

how does this compare to the sun joe pressure washer also on slick deals right now.
i already have a powerful gas pressure washer i only want something small and quiet for washing cars.
Do not get the Sun Joe. The PSI ratings are not even close.

Do not look at PSI on most of these. Get the one with the higher GPM.

I think there will be some sales like Ryobi and other models which appear to be better.
