60-Watt Charger
This 60 Watt charger includes 2 separate ports for USB-A and USB-C connection. USB-C port supports 60 Watt PD charging, perfect for laptops and tablets. USB-A port provides a standard 2.4A output for maximum phone charging speed.
I think you need to read more carefully, i wasn't even talking about this charger, i was responding to someone else.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

What's the use case for this? Lower power usage laptops? Nintendo Switch? I don't know a lot, but 60W seems like a lot for charging a phone

Laptops. Macs use this wattage and the Mac charger is a lot more. Most USB-C laptops don't take a ton of power to charge. Unfortunately for me, my work laptop (Dell Precision 5530) needs the special dock to deliver the 130W it needs for charging under load 😭

Thanks OP!
Would this work on charging my Thinkpad T490?
It originally came with 65W charger.

Also at $20, the USB-C cables alone worth the price, if we can use them for data or phone charging cables? Like can I plug my USB-C to my phone and other end to Laptop charging port, would that charge my phone faster?
I have a T480 and I believe the brick is either a 45W or 60W.

The nice thing about USB-C Power Delivery is that it auto negotiates voltage and current (aka. power profiles)
For a ThinkPad that comes with 65W charger, a 60W charger PD charger will definitely work. Once USB-C PD power is plugged in, the voltage and current will be managed by your laptop and it will optimize for supported profiles. Even if you plug-in a 30W charger, you'll get a warning saying it's under powered and you can still ignore the warning and boot. (I do this with a travel adapter - it's much smaller)

For mobile phone, it depends. If the phone support USB-C PD that can charge at 9V instead of 5V, you will charge 2x or even 3x faster. Otherwise, it's just a regular USB port with 5V regular speed charging. Usually you can find this info in your phone's spec, input voltage. If it says 5V and 9V, it supports fast charging.

like all electronics, there is a high chance it came from same country as the computer you are typing on.

North is based in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

Also for those wondering this charger is made in Vietnam.

I've purchased multiple USB-C chargers over the past few years, and this is one of the best deals I've seen. It is very uncommon to see a 60W charger *with* a cable (and rarely two!) for under $20. This is a great price, plus you have the Costco warranty and excellent customer service.

Knowing how finicky apple computers are I doubt this could be good for your battery
