The nice thing about USB-C Power Delivery is that it auto negotiates voltage and current (aka. power profiles)
For a ThinkPad that comes with 65W charger, a 60W charger PD charger will definitely work. Once USB-C PD power is plugged in, the voltage and current will be managed by your laptop and it will optimize for supported profiles. Even if you plug-in a 30W charger, you'll get a warning saying it's under powered and you can still ignore the warning and boot. (I do this with a travel adapter - it's much smaller)

For mobile phone, it depends. If the phone support USB-C PD that can charge at 9V instead of 5V, you will charge 2x or even 3x faster. Otherwise, it's just a regular USB port with 5V regular speed charging. Usually you can find this info in your phone's spec, input voltage. If it says 5V and 9V, it supports fast charging.
So from your knowledge, will this be safe for use to charge an iPhone XS max? I have a USB C to lightning cable and wondering if this north charger will be good.

Does anyone know North's country of origin? I can't find it on their website. Thanks
Westeros, specifically the North. their HQ is just outside of Winterfell. They make their products beyond the wall though Big Grin

only the 2x cables are worth it. the charger is super bulky and ugly. Id rather get the aukey 65w usb c. I use that for my mac pro 13" as well as my dell xps 13" (personal & work laptops).

Of note, Costco prices ending in .97 are for items that are on clearance.

i received mine, and i don't like it at all. It gets extremely hot when connected to my HP laptop, whereas my Ravpower GAN is barely warm. The charger also is very big length and height wise, making the plug very easy to fall off the power strip since the prongs are pretty loose when plugged in and my strip is on the ground. Any movement with the charging cord the charger can get pulled off easily. Probably will return it even though it came with two very nice cables.
