I have one of these.. lousy drive. Fast but it really depending on what you are moving. In fact I use this as a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure. Which is supposed to be quite fast....

I've had one of these for about a year and a half and it was my first NVME drive. I use it predominantly for gaming and it was a significant upgrade from my previous Kingston SSD. I have had no issues with it so far. Yeah it's QLC, but it's also one of the cheapest 1TB NVME drives that you'll find. My read speeds are currently ~1400mb/s and write is around ~1000mb/s (userbenchmark). I'd highly recommend as a boot drive + heavily used apps/games with a secondary hdd/ssd for files/docs/music

looking to upgrade my laptop. Would this be good for OS? Have been looking at WD blue but the price has been over $110.

It's a good storage drive if you can get it MUCH cheaper, but this drive doesn't belong at this price point. It's QLC and mediocre speeds -- this is really a sub $99 drive - avoid at this price.
