Im definitely not going to throw info I am not 100% sure about lol so I cant really speak about the input lag, however I believe they should be the same.

My only point was regarding local dimming, It definitely has an effect on the picture quality, thats for sure. Youre right in that a smaller TV would have lesser dimming zones, but we're talking about a difference of 5 inches, and 58 dimming zones.

Picture quality is better on the 55" than the 50", but both should offer great picture quality nonetheless. My only point was to let some people know about the amount of the dimming zones because I myself did not know. Still a great TV, in my opinion. I hope whoever gets it, enjoys it.

This is a great deal. The 55inch of this TV has almost double the local dimming zones. However, for $150 difference, this is solid.

Agreed. Man, this is an excellent price but I'm waiting for a price drop again on the 55

When it first went on sale I think Walmart and amazon had it for 445 or 449 or something. There is an older thread on Slickdeals about it if you want the exact price.

How does this compare to the 58" Hisense 58R6E3 that was on sale at walmart? I ordered it yesterday but it hasn't shipped yet and I'm wondering if I should cancel it and get this instead.

This TV (h8g) has one of the best value to price ratios considering it's picture and features, when you compare to mid to high end sets. The other Hisense isnt a bad TV by any means per say but the picture won't be nearly as good or balanced, vibrant, etc. Expect crushed blacks and backlight uniformity issues. My parents have one and it isn't bad by any means for the money it just isn't that good of a picture.

Rtings mentions the feet on the 55" can be adjusted for narrow or wider. Anyone know if the same can be done for this 50"?

I have a 55" H9f and a 50"H8g. The 55" H9f feet are swappable but the 50" H8g are not.
