Model P727. Very cheap price. I bought this before. It is basically flawless.

I feel like using "hardwired" answered your question?
It's described as a 'workbench light' but I'll most likely use it everywhere except on my workbench.

Some use cases:
1. Bring it out to the driveway to work on your car without worrying about a cord.
2. Bring it out in the backyard to finish up a project you started too late and now it's dark out.
3. Bring it to your trunk or back hatch to install/replace/fix xyz on your vehicles
4. Bring it into the attic to light up that damn back corner that doesn't get any light to rearrange storage items/bring out holiday decorations.
5. Use it when the power is out.
6. Use it when you have electrical shut off at the breaker to install a new light fixture in your daughter's room.
7. Use it when replacing the heating element in your dryer instead of paying the repair man.
8. Use it to see under your deck when installing hidden fastener system screws (when it gets dark, cause you started too late again).
9. Use it to light up the moving van/U-Haul to unload the last bit of crap on a move.
10. Loan it to your Dad or friend to do any number of things.
etc. etc.
They need to run the (virtually) perpetual Free Shipping promo again. I know it's only $7, but for relatively lower-dollar items like these, it makes the difference (for me, at least) between "buy now, ask questions later" and "eh, do I really need this?"

factory blemished. Good deal on a light i personally own and i havent seen it drop this low at DTO yet.

plus $7 shipping. flat rate, so if you can combine it with more than one item it increases your savings.

It's a great light. Super bright. When it arrived, it looked brand new. They had stamped "Factory Reconditioned" on it, otherwise, you wouldn't know it wasn't new in box.

I too have been waiting for this light to go on sale on Direct tools. Ryobi has become my light of choice for working on cars, I no longer touch the astro lights I have. I believe I have seen this light for 79 bux here on Direct tools.

What's the use case here? Seems like a $15 hardwired light would be both cheaper and more convenient.

Their true cost is probably higher than $7 for shipping those bulky/heavy tools.
Any guess on what their profit is for these deals? I would think it is not that high.

They don't run FS in perpetuity because most likely it is not a sustainable business proposition.
