JFC. Did you all come here thinking this was a soy milk deal?

I'm with the dude that won't buy it due to the whey protein market 9 years ago. Whey grudges are for life!

Lots of downvotes for those who don't like lab created sweeteners. 🤨

Margarine is good for you they said. It'll be fine they said.
Problem is its paired with low quality Chinese "protein"

Gatorade just slapping their logo on top and calling it a day

This deal seems somewhat pointless when MyProtein has a 45% off sale right now. You can get 11 lbs for $60 or 5.5 lbs for $35 vs this deal.
Do you have a link and code?

Just the standard "Impact Whey Protein" that they sell at us(dot)myprotein(dot)com. They have 45% off everything for their 4th of July sale using the code INDEPENDENCE

True, but this is no Lambo.

Concentrate and artificial sweetners is the exact opposite of a Lambo.

Good, then people shouldn't buy them and hopefully they learn the lesson. Or once they learn what people want they churn a superior product and drive down price for everyone. Hopefully.

It looks like you'd have to get at least the 8.8 lb bag to avoid paying the $5 shipping cost (or add $6 of stuff to get to the $50 price point to get free ship).

sucarlose gives me stomachaes
aspartame gives me headaches
stevia makes my tongue/lips numb and i dont like it anyway
xylitol tastes terrible to me
Aspartame used to give me instant headaches but it doesn't anymore. I wonder if the chemistry has changed a bit.

Xylitol is known to cause diarrhea in some but lucky that hasn't happen to me so far.

You do realize the chemistry of aspartame can't change or it isn't aspartame anymore, right? Smilie

That's like saying, I wonder if the chemistry of water has changed lately.

Aspartame is well tolerated by at least 99% of the population, more likely 99.9%. This is far higher than lactose, peanuts, gluten, etc.

Sucralose is even more well tolerated. It's one of the most studied and safest nutritional additives in history.

then i have to add the sugar myself? was hoping to scoop and pour in water/lactaid.
JFC...

Buy unflavored protein. Buy sugar. Buy powdered Vanilla or cocoa or cinnamon or whatever flavor you want. Mix them in a tub. Shake it a few times then scoop it out.

But good luck finding a company that adds 30 grams or more of sugar per serving of protein... that completely defeats the health benefits. Sugar is one of the worst substances the human body can intake, especially in refined form in quantities over 25-30g/day. It contributes in significant ways to a multitude of terrible issues.

I hated aspartame and splenda when I was young. So I started slowly switching out 5-10% of the sugar at a time and replacing it with splenda when I made tea / baked products / other meals. Within a month I had gone to 100% splenda and actually prefer the taste of splenda to Sugar. This is very easy to do for anyone who wants to get off sugar. Taste buds change very easily if you care to force them to.

As well, Sucralose has been extensively studied and more than 110 safety studies were reviewed by FDA in approving the use of sucralose as a general purpose sweetener for food. It's one of the safest products ever made and used heavily. Peanuts, Gluten, Shellfish, Milk, and basically all other "natural" foods have a higher intolerance rate than Sucralose.

So, either put a hint more effort into your daily routine and add unhealthy amounts of sugar to your shakes... or train your taste buds to accept sucralose. Otherwise, sorry, you're out of luck.
