Bought this after returning 2 Milwaukee drills. Both Milwaukee drills had runout problems. This one does not have such issues.

It's on clearance. You have to go to the store or call for price check. Online they don't put the clearance price.

The XPH07 is a couple years old, but it is Makita's strongest hammer drill. Brushless, metal chuck, torquey as heck.

Any idea if the clearance price is lower than $189? At $189 I don't need it, I have multiple other drills. But at $90 it could be a good pickup.

Checked, $210 near me.

Is there a way to check the price without calling or going in for these? I've seen this hammer drill at 210 in a couple of HDs as well as some other clearance I'd like to keep an eye on.

It's weird thought, too, since these clearance prices don't seem to make sense based on the info posted about HD clearance (that it goes 25% off, 50% off, then a penny, or whatever, since 210/300 is 70% so I don't know what to even keep an eye on... I also assume trying to get a $300 makita tool out of the cage and buy it for a penny won't work, but at 50% off maybe?)

picked this up last week @ $210. Unless you've got eyes on multiple (as in 4 or 5+) at your local HD, chances are someone is going to pick it up now @ $210, and if they go any lower, they'll be gone for sure. Only way to check is to visit your store pretty frequently.

It's presently Makita's top drill. Despite being a few years old, it's brushless, torque spec is high enough to go head to head with just about anything else on the market, metal chuck. etc.

Ebay for just the bare-tool drill is ~90-100ish.
Throw in two 4.0 batteries, a charger, and a case if that mattters, for a little over $200 is not dirt cheap, but these are good tools that will last for many years, so someone will scoop them up at this price.

Found 2 for 150 each at a local HD as well. Checked another one, but they were still 210 everywhere else. Pretty nice. Feels like worst case it will work out to being a free hammer drill, depending on local market?

Good find. None at my store, though.

I did find a few 2x 4Ah battery + charger + bag starter pack for $100 (regularly $199). (Brickseek [brickseek.com], HD ref [homedepot.com]), and subcompact drill (tool only) for $60 (regularly $119) (Brickseek [brickseek.com], HD ref [homedepot.com]).
