Ima guess not everyone has an Ikea nearby...
also, this would require one to actually drive to an Ikea for in-store pickup, during quarantine...

Not sure why this is a FP item. Just picked up a 24 pack (12xAA, 12xAAA) from Tenergy on Amazon for $25.99. Articles I've read seem to put them on par with energizer. They also have a 24 pack of AA at $29.99 that puts them at about $1.25 per battery.

Tenergy High Drain AA and AAA Battery, 1.2V Rechargeable NiMH Batteries Combo, 12-Pack 2500mAh AA Cells and 12-Pack 1000mAH AAA Cell Batteries https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001ALY...-Eb62X9G1Z

recently, I was searching for 3v button batteries (CR2016, CR2025) on amazon. There were significantly more listings of Energizer brand at more noticeable lower prices as if they were counterfeits or one of those brands that have changed hands to China for example (similar to defunct car stereo brands e.g. Blaupunkt). But, Energizer headquarter is St. Louis, Missouri. Any insight of this observation?

the duracell rechargaeble aa 2500mAh is sometimes on sale for like $10. Would it be a better choice quality wise (I already know it can hold more charge). Thanks!

Not everyone in this country is under quarantine. In fact I would guess that most are not actually so no need to muddy the waters!

The Ikea Ladda batteries are a notably better deal when you consider their additional capacity. With these Energizers you get 1,111mAh per $, but with the Laddas you get 1,400mAh per $.

I'm surprised nobody has pointed this out yet but the Ikea batteries everyone keeps raving about have a shorter lifespan, they will die after fewer recharge cycles. So you are getting a battery that will last a little longer per charge but will ultimately have to be replaced sooner.

Please define "die". Wink Many places define it as less than 80% of the new capacity. So in theory a 'dead' Ladda could have a capacity of over 1900mAh. I'm not too worried about advertised lifespans; if the battery is made at a quality plant (like the one in Japan that makes Eneloops, Laddas, and these Energizers) then I expect it to have an acceptable lifespan. A lot of post-production factors are in play when it comes to the useful life of rechargable battery.

Are you sure buddy the U.S. has more cases than ever? I mean if you live in montana than my bad. Places like texas are rolling back openings. Good point about the laddas though they are tough to beat.

Tenergy is made in China so when it is all said a done I doubt they are as good as these Energizers made in Japan. I can give you a better assessment in a year or two be because I bought 12 AAs and 8 AAAs of each last month. I got the Energizers from Costco (which was a better deal than this one) and I got the Tenergys from Rakuten because I had $10 in promo credit to spend.

Fear monger much? Smilie Even Ikea stores in Chicago (which was once quite a hot spot) are open so I betting most are.

Live on the East Coast in MD and there never ever was "quarantine" from what I saw. There should've been IMO and thought there was going to be (especially when I saw the nation guard being deployed - thought it was going to be a full on lockdown but they were just there to hand out food). But they never took it seriously here in the US and that's why it's coming back full swing (never really went away IMO). And before you start saying it was a quarantine in my state sort of statement, I frequent by interstates all the time (especially 95) and I would see people traveling all the time for several months now from all kinds of different states from all around the nation. This wasn't just one person in a car traveling for official work. It was whole families loaded up in SUVs with vacation gear! This was nothing more than an extended spring break for many. And work never skipped a beat for me either (except for the 2 week shutdown when there was an outbreak at my job). I'm certainly not a first responder of any sort but still "forced" to work because someone deemed us "essential". Let me know when the quarantine starts though.
