What's the warranty for refurb ones? I don't see it listed on adorama page.

Is general take on the refurb one for Nikon good? Anyone bought a Nikon refurb glass and stayed well without trouble for few years?

I have both this lens and the 16-35VR. This 14-24 is very sharp and even though it is more cumbersome to carry I often find myself lugging it around over the 16-35.

"...exceeded the warehouse quantity limit." Looks like even the back order list is filled up. Dead.

This is the best wide angle lens ever made. What a beauty. Highly recommend.

Refurb Nikon 24-70 F/2.8 for $999 from MPB in Sep 2017. No issues to this day other than my hands feeling weak when using it with the D600

If you don't need f2.8, consider the 16-35 f4 as it's lighter and takes regular circular screw on filters. However, if you NEED this lens it's likely for astro which is understandable for the need of f2.8.
If you do astro you use 14mm prime. Samyang or w/e. But agree 16-35 f4 is much practically for basically everyone. Even at 16mm f4 the lens is very sharp and most people really don't need the 14mm. Camera bodies nowadays handle high iso very well so f2.8 while great is rarely needed. And if you are using the f2.8 for shallow dof for whatever reason, keep in mind even at 16mm f4 the pop effect is still really pronounce if you know what you are doing.

But with all that said. It's just $1000, which is a steal for this lens. Just keep in mind it is heavy.

I've had this lens since it came out and it was $1299 brand new. That was before the japan price increases. Absolute necessity. I've used it on all my cameras and love it.
Wow i bought it first thing and paid like 2000 never saw it that low.

idk, it was a long time ago, pre-ordered it through some site where it was $1499 (the regular price when it came out) and got a $200 rebate. Then their was a currency adjustment and it when up $400, then another $400.

At the same time, I was looking at the 200m f/2.0. It was somewhere around $3200-3600. Over the next year or so, it went up to $5200. Now the vII is $4500 used, $5700 new.
