I personally don't like these. I use a chimney starter, and these take longer to light and don't burn as completely as the brand in the blue bag.

They are okay. As amndouglas said they do not burn quite as well. I got a crapload at $5 for the two-pack last year and considered it a great deal. Since those other briquettes do not seem to be coming down to the 2 for $10 range I will pick up some of these.

These are made by royal oak. They work fine for me in my Weber chimney starter.

Use these a good bit, I don't notice them taking any longer in my chimney starter, but I'm never in a rush when using charcoal so maybe I haven't noticed.

Not an expert but I do stuff on the smoker pretty regulary and don't notice much difference between any of the charcoal. I think for anyone like me just serving to friends and family the wood smoke will be way more noticeable than the charcoal. Think this stuff is a good deal for the average person

Thats how I felt til I got some clearly crappy stuff (Kinsford Pro @ Costco, everything tasted like crap)
