It's been lower in the past but this is a killer price for an awesome sub.

Have the 580s with 520c in bedroom. Am thinking about moving the Klipsch 311 up here from main room and just go HSU vtf mk3 or SVS PB2000 pro down there - but does this sealed sub make that much of a difference if bedroom used mainly for music?

-3db at 27hz, should be enough for a bedroom, no? Seems like a good sub for $200.

It is really good for music but with 590s you hardly need it. For movies it is quite decent but some look for over the top shaking which this will not provide.

Yeah toys subs let you hear the boom, better subs like this one let you feel the boom as they can change the air pressure in the room. The best subs let you know how well your house is made...

I recently upgraded to the infinity front three set. R263s and rc263.

Rocking a pioneer Sub, Andrew Jones, and I got a code for 20 percent off so no I thought about buying a sub but will I realistically see a huge difference? I am not a bass junkie and don't want to shake the house.

Yes. The subwoofer is by far the weakest link in the Andrew Jones line.

You're not going to feel the boom from this sub unless you have a pretty small room. Sealed 10" sub is not going to move that kind of air.

How does this compare to the Infinity Reference SUB R12 on sale recently. Mainly interested in home theater rather than music, but am not looking for earth shaking bass.

I just bought the Infinity R12 and it produced a clean bass. Definitely great for music. It's tough to compare the 10inch JBL vs the 12inch Infinity. A bigger speaker will be noticeable because it can push more air. Either sub is adjustable so you can always control the frequency and volume to suit your needs. I can confirm the infinity will sound crisp even at higher volumes

Last time this deal was available I was able to contact Harman Audio support and get 30% off. Call their number, don't bother with live chat. Tell them you're interested in buying speakers but were curious about any available coupons. They offered me 10% at first and I just followed up by saying a friend had gotten 30% before. They didn't really argue it. YMMV.

I am in the same spot. I am thinking about giving it a shot since they have free returns. How long has the R12 gone price wise?

If you're just doing music sealed is probably the way to go. You can run the HSU in sealed or ported though with gives you options. Either of those options are going to outclass this sub. HSU and SVS are sub companies that also make speakers. JBL and Klipsch are speakers companies that also make subs.

Okay so try and sell the Klipsch sw-311? And buy the JBL for bedroom, and probably HSU for downstairs and eventually get a matching 2nd
