Does this work as a flash/usb drive ? 256gb for $27 for storage sounds like a good deal, but am I missing something? Is it only for phones?

No it'll work on computers. It's probably discounted because of micro usb. But it's still a good buy just as a normal flash drive.

Everyone please read a few comments up! Link to a USB-C version titled 256gb Ultra Dual Drive Go. It's $3 more for a USB-C connector versus the micro USB.

First one connects to old-style USB port (rectangular opening) while the second one connects to USB Type-C port (slightly oval-ish) in addition to the old one - that's why the name 'dual'.
I cannot be any further non-technical than this Smilie
OP removed the USB/USB-C listing so this is not accurate now. The only one listed is now USB/MicroUSB.

This does NOT have an USB Type-C port it has micro-usb which are for older Android devices, mostly.

Reviews on Amazon say the write speed is very slow while read is very fast for the 256gb version.
Anyone know how fast are the writes per specs vs reality?

JUNK. This is the only flash drive that I've ever owned that went tits up on me. Didn't even use it that much.
