If you care about video, step up to the M10 mk iii or G85/GX85 for not much more. If you need PDAF with that video, then opt for Sony or Fuji APSC.

LOL...said the non photographer. That line has been around for almost 10 years right after m4/3 came out.
Especially considering the Panasonic GH5 while older is still a better video camera than most full frames.

How is Olympus done?

Hilton Hotels
Clear Channel
Pet Smart

= all brands that got sold off... yet you as a consumer probably have no clue because nothing changed really on the consumer end. Its just a change in ownership.. Its not a bankruptcy and liquidation like Toys R Us... You sound pretty clueless about cameras tbh
For me, I'm more curious on what Olympus' new cameras will be called if JIP didn't acquire rights to Olympus' name when they bought the division. For an example, after JIP bought Sony's PC division, VAIO laptops are now branded "VAIO" ("VAIO" was simply the model/series of laptops when Sony was making them....such as Dell XPS). If JIP didn't acquire the Olympus name and they're going to continue making mirrorless cameras, will they simply be branded "OM-D" ?

How come nobody cares about portability? I don't want a bigger camera/lens than m43, it's eons superior to the best of cellphone camera and it's still lightweight and semi portable. I don't want a big heavy full frame camera, I wan't the smallest thing possible with a big sensor.
Over here in 'murica bigger is better lol. Idk it takes great pictures and lenses are compact.

Yeah and Olympus ibis is probably better than any full frames out there. Plus the ability to hand hold the camera in many different situations while not needing a tripod

Olympus is getting out of its 84-year-old camera business. Don't expect any further firmware, lens, and other kinds of stuff. That's the one of reasons for the huge discount.(Thanks point out this price happened past)
Except they are releasing firmware on their new camera. And a new pro lens is also coming. Not that I can afford a pro lens anyway lol. Their roadmap for releases is still on track for the foreseeable future. So not quite dead yet.

If you don't use the viewfinder and want something a little smaller. The PEN PL9 is another great alternative.

$312 Refurb

Olympus E-PL9 [ebay.com]

Main difference is it has 4k, no EVF and a few years newer.

They just announced a 20-megapixel version of this camera, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV.
