If it's blue, it's for you. If it's brown, flush it down.

I have been looking for this keyboard for almost a month now. As soon as I saw the "blue button" of "order now", I jumped on it and ordered. Till I couldn't order it because of "sold out" status, I badly needed it, now as I am able to order it, the reviews of it being a "mehhh" KB is dampening my excitement of owning my first ever mechanical KB. SD is strange 😊

I have mechanical keyboards as a deal alert in SD out of curiosity, but I would never buy a discount mech kb. I think these net a bunch of neophytes and entry-level gamers, but what is considered an actual good experience will never run you this low - and will never be found at a BestBuy.
Shouldn't you be on Massdrop shopping for your next wood wrist rest, or putting lube on some Gaterons? You sound like an audiophile, who can detect the subtlest difference in headphones that 95% of the population can't notice.

I am no enthusiast, but I have had keyboards with Cherry's, Outemu's, and Kailh's. Kailh's blow, but Outemu's (which these presumably have) are perfectly fine. There have been a number of TKL mech KBs on SD for <$30 with Outemu blues or browns, which are all perfectly fine and better than membrane keyboards.

That said, many do like to smell their own farts. (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnFAAdOBB1c )

Don't fret friend. Enjoy your first. It is most likely not your last. If you game or don't use a numpad much (or are OK using a USB num pad as needed), try out ten keyless keyboards for a more ergonomic experience (brings your arms/hands closer together). If you like blues but find they are too loud, try out browns like from this recent deal:
https://slickdeals.net/f/14142752-monoprice-workstream-tenkeyless-tkl-brown-switch-mechanical-keyboard-black-26-99-fs

Also, try out some O-rings to either dampen sound or decrease travel distance. As you are a true slickdealer (ie, cheap and patient), you won't mind waiting a month to get them from China to save $5.

Good luck, have fun.

bought this when it was previously FP, works great. Haven't used the software to go RGB, I just use a plain white backlighting.

I've been into mechanical keyboards for decades (I have several Model Ms) but I'm going to disagree with this. I still find MX browns quite usable, especially if you work or use it in an environment where you can't make a lot of noise.

Best Buy inventory says there's still one available in the Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn location.

I'm sure you're right, I know nothing of them. The yellow/brown-mellow/down idiom just popped in my head (apologies).

I think it is a mechanical keyboard. That's what the description says. I will double check. If it is a non-mechanical KB, I will be returning it, even before opening it. Thanks
Received my mechanical KB today. The box's seal was broken, but the KB seems to be new. No marks, no dings, no scratches, etc.

Now about the quality of the KB: I am blown away by the quality of this KB. This is a MECHANICAL KB, NOT a semi-mechanical one. The switches are "blue" switches. It's RGB and there are 11 different LED patterns which can be controlled just by the click of two keys. The clicking and typing experience is smooth with nice "click clack" sound. This is an awesome product.

Grab this KB if you can at $23 retail price.
