Not a bad deal, however performance needs to be seen, whether it can handle the heat and temperatures or not. Looks good on paper.

Returns straight to HP is a real pain. Better to buy their laptops through a retailer (when possible).

If you customize it the ship date says 7/21 but then there is a pop up disclaimer about shipping delays. That is cutting it close for those wanting it for college. I really wanted the Lenovo P1 Gen2 but they apparently aren't having a July sale on it. Thanks OP

Anybody understood what this guy is trying to say? Is he saying 45W TDP will drain battery?

YMMV

As a side note, check with PayPal as they are offering 36 months interest free financing with HP. PayPal credit may not be for everyone but I enjoy the interest free option over 1-2% cash back.

Again, YMMV

I just bought this yesterday with a student discount (which was about 5% off). I wished I ordered today so I could use the July 4 promo instead. That aside, this computer should hopefully be able to handle heat and temperatures well as it has vapor chamber cooling. It looks to have pretty good performance on paper for the price (even better with this deal). The one downside I found was that it doesn't have Thunderbolt 3 but that wasn't a deal-breaker for me.

On paper this looks amazing. I can get a Full HD touch display, 6 core i7, 16gb ram, and a 1660ti MaxQ for $1286.00. This is cheaper than a base model XPS 15 with 8gb of ram and a quad core i5. Hopefully the RAM and storage are user upgrade-able.
