G3 is new and looks good too but you may want to look at Beretta APX, they come in standard, carry, compact & combat versions. I have the standard 17+1 rd with msrp of just $329.

using the website referenced above I see these as attractive options to keep in a car:

Springfield XD Defender Series 4" Full-size 9mm, 4" Barrel, 16+1 Rounds - $293.98 shipped

Ruger Security-9 Compact 9mm 3.42" 10 Rd - $329.99 (free store pickup)

Just a few examples. I wouldn't hesitate one second buying a Springfield or Ruger over a Taurus any day.

G3C is not your daddy's Taurus. If gun prices weren't in the stratosphere, I'd have one now. Wasn't in the market when they were cheaper than dirt.

LOL, I am a daddy who owned some old Taurus and am scared of the old Taurus issues. However, looking at some G3C videos, I'm impressed. Might consider adding it to my collection of compacts.

Taurus opened a new manufacturing plant in Georgia last year and I think the G3/G3C is the first series to come out of that plant.
