GPU Comparison Help - (1) Sapphire 11296-01-20G Radeon Pulse RX 5600 XT (vs) (2) XFX RX 5600 XT Thicc II PRO

Hi Slick Deals Populace,

I recently refreshed my home computer with new components, and have been looking at GPUs to replace my 10 yr old Radeon 4600 (yikes!).

I landed on two options thus far:
  1. Sapphire 11296-01-20G Radeon Pulse RX 5600 XT [pangoly.com]
  2. XFX RX 5600 XT Thicc II PRO [pangoly.com]

The two cards seem almost identical, and I lean toward the Sapphire based on my own research. Does anyone have either GPU or a firm stance as to one vs the other? Or as another option, a recommendation in the price range for an AMD Ryzen 3700?

I plan to use it for normal gaming, and would like the future-proofability to support 4K.

Any advice would be welcome.. just want to make sure I'm getting the best bang for my buck.

Maybe I am missing something, but they both use the same GPU, namely the RX 5600 XT and both have 6 GB of memory with roughly the same price point (not surprising). So what exactly are you debating between the two as they appear to be similar just from different makers?

I would go with the Sapphire since it has a better boost/game clock. Otherwise they're nearly identical.

The XFX seems to have a better heatsink? In a very unscientific comparison the weights listed on Amazon are 2.49 and 2.64 lbs each. I would go with the heavier one, assuming it was in heatsink as far as the weight difference.

Is there really a difference here? It looks like slightly different versions on the same reference design basically. XFX used to have a great reputation for warranty, not sure if thats changed or not.
