Never tried this with a Kong. Are dogs able to lick it all out, or does it get wasted and need to be cleaned out?
If it's the appropriate sized Kong. I made the mistake of continuing to use a medium sized one I kept when my lab was a pup even though he had an XL one.

Poor judgment on my part. As ravenous as labs are, especially mine. His determination to get all of it out, was absent of any consequences. Tearing up his tongue and bloody drool over the carpet.

So keep that in mind. A dog should be able to get their tongue through if it's the appropriate size.

Is it going to ooze out of the toy and make a mess on the floor?

It's a messy treat, I wouldn't give it to your companion over any carpet area.

Thanks. I didn't make the connection between the size of the Kong and size of the dog. I have three sizes and let her pick which one to play with. I then pick whatever size of hard treats fit inside. Now I realize the Kong should match her tongue size for anything gooey!

We use the spray cheese or peanut butter in our dog's Kong toys and usually fill them in advance and put them in the freezer. Not only does that cut down on the mess, it makes it last longer and they love frozen treats anyhow (doggy ice cream cups and ice lol).

Seems like something like this would be safer since not much price difference.

Just stick a milkbone in it. It's cheaper, cleaner, and your dog loves them.

I ordered these on July 1 and still have not received them. Deal Genius uses some crappy shipping company and the last tracking update is July 9
