Skip this system anyways. Grab a PoE device. It will save you in the long run.
That's not a problem of resolution but something else.
This sponsored deal for BNC legacy products just don't seem to end..

On the other hand we won't have a single POE kit deals. This has been frustrating waiting for a deal for a while.

I know this debate has already been had multiple times on Slickdeals but are 4K cameras actually any better then the 1080p? i can't imagine there that much better, at least not enough to justify their price.
I had a 4k camera last time and i have to take it down because in my area it can reach up to 100+ degrees during summer. But it was fall/winter time and the camera would heat up. My new 1080p camera doesnt heat as much even during summer time.

Is Lorex own by US company?
I can't trust non-US company especially cameras or anything to do with security here. I have seen some camera can be easily hack or manage outside here and you don't want that.

Lorex is garbage. Chinese owned with questionable production facilities.

I personally have a 5 or so year old laview. PoE is for power over ethernet. One cord, one run, upgradeable plug and play.

I just got Reolink brand from Amazon
It was around 320 for a set of 4 4MP cameras with 1 TB hard drive
I work for a school district and IP or POE cameras work so much better plus you can upgrade the cameras later if you want

From what I understand the OEM are Chinese for majority of cameras in the world.

Anybody have a good home surveillance or FB group that they recommend for a home surveillance forum? I have tons of questions about cameras and systems in general.

Anyone have a suggestion for the best deal for a POE system right now?

They also have a 4K system with 8 cameras for the the same price: https://www.adorama.com/lrx41082tc8b.html
