This is hands down the best ice cream scoop I've ever owned. If it ever shows up on sale again and you happen to be in need of a new scoop, these are worth it. Originally got the 2 pack for $12.95 and was able to gift the second to a sister-in-law. Heavy duty and perfect ice cream scoops with no sticking or mechanism that break. A design so obviously simple, yet genius.

I concur. This is probably the last scoper I'll ever own.

Man... I want to say cones were 15/30/45 cents for single/double/triple scoops when I was a kid. Best deal ever.

I don't remember having 2 prong holes in my thrifty ice cream cones. Are these knock offs?
They are "official knock-offs". They are officially endorsed by Thrifty, but they are not the same as the old ones that they used to use in their stores. These are not as heavy duty as the real thing.

I'll really date myself. They were .05/.10/.15 for one, two three scoops when I was a kid Smilie

I have been getting these for 23$ (rite aid gold status 20% off everything) and selling them on eBay for 44$ people like this stuff. If anyone wants to use my phone number for the 20% off thing hit me up. Also these are really good quality

Just use an ice cream spoon like they use at all the ice cream shops like Cold Stone and Marble Slab. Or the spoon scoops.. This seems only useful for soft ice cream, I wouldn't waste my time.

Never heard of this. All of the RiteAid stores near me are gone and replaced by Walgreens. Seems fitting that a dinosaur that went out of business is selling overpriced dinosaur products.

These suck. Ice-cream gets stuck really easily and makes a mess. Also pretty unwieldy and takes up a lot of space to store. Zeroll ice cream scoops are what the pros use, highest rated scoop thanks to the mercury liquid inside that keeps the scoop warm and slicing perfectly scoop after scoop
Pros? Professional Ice Cream scoopers?

The reason that this particular scoop "sucks" for some is because you're not scooping out ice cream out of a big ass heavy tub thats fixed in place. It's also a lot easier when you have about of foot of space to scoop. This is just a cool piece to have if you're that much of a fan of Thriftys. For $30 I'll pass. I am 30 years old though and loved getting treated to Thriftys as a kid laugh out loud

Is it just me or did the Thrifty scoop or prongs create a little piece of ice in the middle of the ice cream? I always remembered hitting a piece of ice. Not bad, just a memory of the good old days.
