Have owned this exact unit for 9 months. Great TV for gaming. Freesync enabled only for AMD cards, will not do freesync on Nvidia cards.

Also, this is one of the only TV's in this price range that will do real 120hz (verified in Nvidia control panel or AMD Adrenalin settings), true 120hz limited to 1440p and below. 4k is 60hz.

Hmm seeing the comments about previous model being better, the one that I have and this is like a 3 or 4yr old model I think. Based on rtings this is better than the next one.
Guess I need to go oled/qled if I want to buy one

this or hisense h8G?
I've had both, and the colors and brightness on the Hisense are way better. This Samsung isn't bright, and the color is just ok without quantum dot.

Yes. They're deemphasizing LED in favor of QLED, hence the stripping out features and lowering of performance in the LED line. I'm glad I got the 65" NU8000.
Isn't QLED just a branding exercise for standard LED because they're late to the game on OLED? From a technology perspective, there's no step change from LED to QLED, right?

Anybody use gsync and since its variable refresh rate, can anyone go into more detail esp being future proof for next gen consoles

I have a 65" NU8000 and as per RTINGS, the Samsung NU8000 is much better than the Samsung TU8000.
What in the world is Samsung doing with newer models?
Companies like TCL and LG are taking away a lot of their sales in the last few years. So Sammy has to sell less TV for the same money in order to keep profits steady.
And while the picture quality isn't that good, at least you can use the TV to see if your laundry is done or the fridge is stocked.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

They don't want those non QLED sets looking too good. Gotta fleece the consumer any chance you get.

Freesync works great on Nvidia cards connected to computer monitors, but not TV. In order for Nvidia cards to use freesync, a connection has to be made with a DisplayPort cable, and this TV is HDMI only. Freesync over HDMI is AMD proprietary. Nvidia will eventually utilize with HDMI 2.1, but this TV doesn't have that either.

I bought this from the last deal through AAFES for $599 no tax. It's still currently on sale for the same price. My family enjoys this TV, the remote is easy to use, overall a big improvement from our old heavy plasma TV.

Manufacturer warranty shows 90 Days Limited..? What's with that? Some Samsung televisions from Costco or Sam's come with 3 year manufacturer warranty..

Also, there was a $348 58" Samsung from Walmart recently. Is 7" worth $252? 😆
