These are the ones you want when they have a coupon usually for $4.99 [harborfreight.com]

The recent deal at Lowe's for Rayovac is a much better at 60 for $10.99

Ehh.... I wouldn't trust them. If you get them for free and don't mind changing them when they die WAY prematurely it's fine, but they are not worth the hassle to me.

FYI. Probably the worst batteries you can buy.

Safety equipment is the last thing I would use this with.

What about for kids toys? I'm always putting AA and AAA in something for my two boys. Are these THAT bad?

are they that bad? they got very good reviews though. i mean if they are dying, your detectors would notify you right.

they dont have these free battery coupons anymore. now they only have the free flash light coupon.

yeah worth a shot 4 for 1.69 how bad can they be, similar duracells are like 10 bucks. I picked up a set of 4 and will give it a shot, Last year I rented in a cold state and when I went to replace after living a year, out came the same thunderbolt battery. so i guess its safe to say one should get a year or more out of them. They do feel half the weight compared to duracell or other standard makes so lower mah for sure.
