Triumph 17's are an excellent shoe. Lots of cushion in the midsole but also some decent energy return. Upper is one of the best in the business. Feels very high-end although it may be a little warm for some of the hotter climates. These are great as an everyday trainer (easy runs, longs runs) and I imagine would make an excellent walking shoe as well. They are a bit heavy for fast track workouts though.

Sounds like the 17 is better than the triumph iso 5. The iso 5 is horrible. Supposed to be plush but is anything but.

I've got a pair of the Triumph ISO 5s, and I actually like them as a daily trainer. The upper is a nice double jacquard, there's plenty of room in the toe box, and the midsole is a nice balance between cushion and responsiveness. I've got about 250 miles on them and they're holding up fine so far. My main gripe is that they're a little heavy for longer distances.

Caveat - I always pull the insoles of my running shoes and replace them with PowerSteps. No opinion wearing with the stock insoles on these, as almost all stock running shoe insoles (even in high-end models) suck compared to PowerSteps and Superfeet.

Too many shoes but I want to try the 17's out. Two pair of 5's to use first but 17's for trying out now is good. Thanks op.

too much cushion which is not a good thing. Saucony shoes in general worn a lot faster than my Asics shoes. $90 is absolutely overpriced IMO

Same. I like the Triumph Iso 5s and i recommended to my friend and he also likes them. I mostly run trails but when I run asphalt or concrete, the ISO 5s are my go to because they cushion the hit and my knees dont feel a thing.

Excellent shoe but not really a deal at $90. I bought 3 pairs of the Triumph ISO 3s at $30 each a couple years back - THAT was a slick deal.
