I assume the TDs are due to the riskiness of using VPNs to buy digital content from foreign marketplaces.

While I don't know what Steam would do, I know that several services with regional pricing will ban your account and take away all the games you bought if they ever detect you buying out of your region. It's not worth the risk. I won't even touch Microsoft Xbox freebies posted on SD that are from foreign marketplaces and still work in the US without a VPN out of ban fear.

This is officially allowed. If you were to move to Argentina, you are allowed to change your region to Argentina. When you move back to USA, you are not mandated to change region to USA. I moved from Argentina to USA and checked this with Steam support.

Is AR$ 539,99 the standard price for this in Argentina? If so, I'll wait for it to release and let others confirm that this works without any hitches.

Yeah, but you didn't move. You manipulated the system into thinking you moved but you really did not.

A. Payment Authorization

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, Valve may terminate your access to your Account.

I travel between Southeast Asia and the US. I have credits on my Southeast Asia account and have Southeast pricing when I open up steam in the US with that account. Depends on if you can open an account in regions with lower cost of living. I have an American friend that is currently in Southeast Asia and he started using a Southeast Asia account instead because pricing is so wide.

Not encouraging that you do so using a VPN because you've never been physically in that country. But I could argue that if you have been to that country and stayed there a bit (able to open an account for financial transactions, you should be able to go ahead and open a regional steam account with that area. Why not right?

So my suggestion is once Covid clears up, travel south of the border to any of the countries there and open an account. LMAO Applause

Geez, this is even cheaper in Argentina than Southeast Asia!. Is Argentina that poor? It's going for $14.28 in SE Asia.
