Where did you get that the type-c displayport is video only and no data? From my understanding, it can be connected to a type-c dock with video, usb and power delivery?

OP linked the original post (and there was one more for some reason) but I'll reiterate before asked: the RX5600 is between a GTX 1660 ti and RTX 2060 as far as specs and what it can run.

Be aware, Dell's G5 series for the past couple years gets hot. Like 100C hot. This applies to both the Intel based G5s and the AMD based G5 SE models.

You'll definitely want to experiment with disabling CPU turbo when gaming to keep thermals reasonable.

According to this review, that 60hz screen is also pretty bad.

For mobile, that is not true. On desktop, the RX 5600M beats a GTX 1660Ti across the board, within spitting distance of the RTX 2060 while being cheaper.

On the mobile side, things get confusing because NVIDIA sells three different configs under the RTX 2060 brand, with some variants going all the way up to 115W for the GPU alone. Assuming equivalent power config, the 5600M will match/beat a 2060 mobile.

Okay, so it's even better than what I stated, so that's a win/win in my opinion!
