This satire as well? Gamers competitively don't game in 4k, they're using 1080p or 1440p for high frame rates.
Why the negative reviews of this post? All FPS and modern games are best played at 1440p with high refresh rates (100+). Any panel over $200 and under 75hz is worthless for gaming.

Caveat - there are very few 4k monitors in 32 inch form factor. There are multiple, viable 4k high refresh rate monitors in 27 inch form factor.

There must be a hitch in the manufacturing process because the trends baffle me. There are tons of 27/28 inch offerings but then most jump to 40+ inches. To me, a vesa mountable 32-36 inch 4k monitor would be perfect, but there's only a handful in this size (this one isn't vesa mountable!).

27/28 is basically best for super crisp scaling to effectively around 1080p screen real estate. 40+ inches is too big in opinion and that's actually what I'm using right now (4k TV actually).

I would love industry insight as to why the 4k monitor market is like this. Would 32 inch variants be less popular than I think?
I don't even see many high refresh rate ones in 27 inch unless maybe they are TN panels? i have mostly been looking at IPS and VA.

It will be a very big debate and you can search on Reddit. In short most people playing game prefer 24-27 inch since they sit pretty close. All my gamers friend use monitor and not Tv on couch. Most video editors and productivity application needs 43 inch since they need 3 screens. This productivity rig is usually powered by different machines and not a single input source. You may use 34 inch for dual split but then curved monitor makes little strange. What I mean to say is I personally do not like Samsung curves if it's less than 40.

So you are very correct that 27 to 40 is an area which is odd for viewing distance.
I am used to just using multiple tabs for so long, I wouldn't necessarily worry about being able to split the screen up myself. That is one of those things that would be nice, though.

And? Not everyone is buying a monitor just for gaming. Also, some do 4k game, thus why gpu reviews have tests for 4k gaming.

Maybe because he was being rude and assuming everyone asking a question is talaking about for gaming?

LG official website didn't specify any vesa hole specification for this model. It happened to be the deal breaker for me.
It is. 100 x 100.

Is it the same as the one was sold in Costco last year?
32UK50T is the one that I bought from Costco and was on sale, it's pretty close in specs except some colour correction

Microcenter has this monitor for $349.99 regularly. My wife is using this for WFH, it is a great productivity monitor.

Been following monitors for a few months now.. have there ever been any 32in 4k ips panels on sale? They seem super rare. This comes the closest except it's VA panel.

Hows this compared to the Dell S3220DGF that was on sale for the same price last week?

very interesting, op. Thanks.

just a little added info-
Mounting-Hole Pattern - None
That is interesting. I have the 32ud59-B which looked to have the same specs and input, but does have vesa. I have been very pleased with my display, which is primarily used for work but does see some video editing, gaming, etc.

I have a curved 29" (I think) monitor at work. I really like being able to view two windows side by side. I need one for WFH but I'm not tech savvy. What are key specs that are must have's? I see a lot of discussion about refresh rate. Should I focus on it? Anything else? Thanks in advance

It is impossible to do 100% text at 32" right?
