YMMV B&M Additional 40% off open box Le Creuset and Staub at Sur La Table

Sur La Table started reopening nationwide recently. At my local store, I saw a Staub 5qt essential oven for $48, LC 2.25qt saucepans for $72, LC 5qt oval Dutch ovens for $125 and 6.75qt for $168, LC 2.25 flower cocotte for $140, LC 10.25" skillet for $60. They also had heart cocottes, griddles/grill pans and round Dutch ovens in various sizes but I don't remember those prices. Colors included black, purple (Provence), light green-blue (sea salt), red, and blue. Items were marked down with a small red sale sticker and the associate then took 40% off of that sale sticker price.

I left happily with a new sea salt saucepan and a Provence Dutch oven. Definitely a YMMV. Not a ton of stock at my location. Since my local store had only recently reopened they are likely trying to get seasonal colors off the floor.

Unrelated to this deal: Clearance was also additional 20% off. Staff was wearing masks and cleaning counters as each customer checked out.

LMAO. You guys are crazy. Someone takes the time to share an experience to grab a bargain or two that might be of interest to others and gets trolled.

Luckily they have US stores and one is less than a mile from my house. I'll go check it out, thanks OP!! Hopefully the deals weren't all limited to Mumbai...

Lol, it's fine. People are weird.

Btw, I posted this on a subreddit too and someone mentioned some stores are not allowed to put out signs (they specifically said Glendale, CA location) and you'd have to ask if there's an additional 40% off open box.

No such restriction at my local Mumbai store though! laugh out loud

Called up the Seattle store and they said they don't have any such deal. They said the discount could be at a store going out of business and the Seattle store usually never offers sale on Le Creuset.

This is the kind of information I'm looking for! I suspect this is what is happening - the OPs store is going out of business.

I called the one in Palo Alto, CA. The lady on the phone said some stuff is on sale as usual (easter stuff, some regular clearance things as usual) but there isn't anything special happening. She said nothing from Le Creuset or Staub was on their sale list.

Thanks so much for posting this. I didn't have to travel to Mumbai laugh out loud but I was able to score a great deal on a Staub 4 qt cast iron coccette i've always wanted one of these but honestly it just wasn't in the budget. The store rep was super friendly and said the prices apply 20% extra on clearance and 40% additional on the open box. I paid $76 out the door i'll post a picture if I can figure it out.....repped!

I just came back from a store the associate said this is for only In-Store clearance items and it's at ALL stores you get 20% off the clearance price but if its an open box or sans-box you get 40% and its ALL products in this section. Keep in mind these stores have been closed and are just re-opening some probably with newly hired employees when I purchased my Staub the associate didn't even know how to ring it up the Manager had to show her how. Good Luck!

I know the store. But let's be real, when I said clean up the post it means put it in a way that's readable. I had to fine tooth what looked like a run on sentence. Separate s--t out. There's tons of people that take the time to detail things and even link to navigate to the product instead of someone having to search. Clean it up doesn't mean not grateful for the deal.

Lol, y'all know how YMMV works, right? My local store is not going out of business. LMAO

I think what's more likely is that Seattle and Palo Alto stores are higher volume with $$$ customers so they never have to discount. To say SLT never clearances out LC or Staub unless the store is going out of business is flat out not true.

I edited it this morning to make a little more sense. It was really the Mumbai comment that made me roll my eyes. hug
