I found 4 jugs locally marked $30, rang up @ $15, great find. Look carefully, because the jugs look identical to the T6 15w-40 ones. 5w-40 is basically the same as 15w-40 I wouldnt be afraid to interchange.

only Diesel Engine Oil......at retail at mine
It has a lot of the certifications that happen to go with turbo engines. Like many others, I've been using it in a turbo Subaru and a motorcycle for years. It's a thing!

One can use this oil in non diesel cars as well, as long as the approvals are met. This is among some of the best US oils for the price. Great reviews and UOA on bitog.

Until recently, 5w40 was Shell's full synthetic version of their 15w40 conventional oil. They probably saw too many consumers looking for 15w40 full synthetic, which didn't really exist outside of a competitor's (Amsoil) product line, so Shell introduced a "15w40" full synthetic. Either way, their oils are one of the best out there.

People have used this oil in all types of cars for a long time now lol.. May not be beneficial mpg wise on a more fuel efficient car that recommends a lighter oil, but it works just fine.
