Seems like a good deal. $100 less than Walmart.

If you're looking for something short term this should work. If you're looking for something that will last a long time look into a Concept 2 rower.
I agree as well. I had a Stamina X which I bought at Samsclub for $700. Needless to say, the chain slipped off and it was such a pain in the rear to put back together. I purchased the concept 2 and the assembly was night and day difference. The machine seems very well built and so far no issues. The Stamina X is in the garage waiting to go back to samsclub. For people who don't use their rower a lot I would say that this is not a bad machine especially considering how cheap it is but if you are looking for a well built machine go with the Concept 2. I've heard great things about Water Rower as well but don't have any experience using one

What rowers are that at OrangeTheory? Are they a cheaper alternative to the C2?

I've seen water rowers at Orange Theory.

My gym has 3 concept 2 rowers. The least used piece of equipment in gym...yet the best workout you can do on one machine. I usually do the 5000 or 10000 row for warms ups. Those are works outs if you try to keep at certain rpm. I never see the C2s out of order...very well made. There are some more expensive water rowers but they're a bit louder I think. If you're committing to rowing...spend the extra cash.

We were on the waitlist for the C2 but then decided on the Hydrow. Now it was a lot more like $1600(deal price) plus the monthly subscription fee but it was about an immersive experience and motivation. We couldn't find many reviewers that had direct experience with both that did not prefer the Hydrow.

I own an older model C. Haven't used it in months. Picked it up used for $50.

Before the COVIDs when the gyms were open I used their model Ds but they were poorly maintained. Great workout and experience when rowing on a tuned machine. Sucks to row on a poorly maintained one. I use to bring my own lube to clean the chain.

All these comments on C2, have they held their value because a) they stopped producing them for awhile and b) covid and WoutFM?

C2s are gold standard for CrossFit and gyms. Made in the USA. Parts are replaceable. Buy it for life. Even before COVID they're hard to come by on the used market.

Wondering if all the C2 recommenders have ever used a dynamic rower. Clearly superior in my opinion, for both rowing form and reducing load in knees and lower back.
