Default everything. Everything at latest firmware. My only thought is my aged CPU -- FX-8370
I was having crazy issues with my fx9590 and 8350 setups with newer video cards. Maybe the cards don't play well with pcie 2.0 ?

Is there any reason to wait on upgrading my Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX 590 with this? I am not in a hurry and I heard new cards are coming out.

Debating if I should jump on this or wait till the end of year for a better price? (I'm still rocking a Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 lol)
This is a good price for a good card, but if you don't need a better card right now I would suggest holding off because the new generation of AMD cards should be released by end of year and that should drive down the price some as well

But audio? I can understand fps drops or some other lag issues, just not audio. I know there were same problems with initial drivers, but new drivers with everything supposedly ironed out?

On a side note, have you played with nvme drives using adapters with your am3 board? I'm thinking of getting a 250gb drive to boot on a $7 adapter.

No I haven't. To be honest I recently gave up on my am3 board. Seems like the motherboard was failing (not surprising as the board had terrible NB and the 9590 wrecks those with heat and power).
You can get a new processor/am4 motherboard and new RAM for the cost of a new video card.
That's the route I personally went. Why put a brand new Corvette engine in a 91 focus is how I saw things lol

$100 with two less heat pipes like you pointed out in the other thread. I haven't had any heat issues with mine after long benchmark though. The games I play, Civ 6 and other strategy games all play on ultra at 4k. Smooth as butter with 5600xt OC
FYI rev 1 of the 5600xt card is currently the same price (5 pipes) after MIR if you care and can still return the Rev 2.

I assume for people who plan to build PC from scratch it is better to wait few month and see if anything new in the same price range is release, right?

I don't need a better card right now but I plan to build a new system before the end of the year. I'm tempted to get the card early but I think I will wait. Thank you.

No problem. Best of luck on your new system. Ryzen 3600 is best bang for buck Wink

I have a i7-2600K, lol. I imagine anything would be an improvement at this point; although, I'm considering the 3900X or the i9-9900K.

2070 super to 2080 leaning towards super. It was superior in most instances to 2070 super on launch, but several driver iterations later the 2070 super is much closer.
I thought it rivals a 2070 in gaming?

If you are thinking that high end. Wait for the 4000 ryzen. Will be out soon
