This deal has been out for almost a week now. SD is slow for deals on pc parts. Check out the /r/buildapcsales subreddit.

I have a 1070Ti and have started gaming 1440p. Is this worth the upgrade? Would really like to get raytracing but the RTX 2000 series seems non-optimal/expensive for raytracing gaming.

1070TI is still a pretty good card. I'd wait until ampere comes out Q3/Q4.

And finally the reviews on this Gigabyte 5700xt are VERY GOOD. It's considered the best value card edging out the sapphire pulse by a slim margin. But those are the top two value 5700xt cards.
Do you have a source for some of those reviews? I generally have a preference for Gigabyte hardware, but the only "reviews" I've seen on this one are at NewEgg.

I'm building my 1st PC very soon and currently looking for parts. I kinda aiming for 3900x or 3700x w/ 5700xt. The price on this gpu is very attractive. I was looking at the xfx 5700xt thicc III for $420 before I saw this post. Any advice if should jump on this? Thanks!

I'll go direct to Newegg site instead of eBay store.

For those who said the drivers are fixed are either lucky or lying. Bought 5700 xt a few weeks ago, drivers are trash. Consistent blue screens and display crashes are happening all the time. Thought it was my card at first, so I returned and ordered a new one. Nope, the same issues. AMD gives you generic solutions but to no avail. If you check out amdhelp subreddit, you can also see the number of complaints there are about 5000 series GPUs. I'll probably be switching to the same value rtx card. Hopefully, others have some luck.

IMO I don't think so. My current setup is a 1070 ti FTW2 paired with Ryzen 7 2700x and I can run pretty much run every game @ 1440p 60fps+ on Ultra settings. 4k @ 45-60fps on medium/high settings . The 1070 ti is still a more than capable card.

Grain of Salt, meet end of value cycle.. with about 4 months left on this cycle who wants older technology and the cost depreciation value vs next gen? Should you have buyers remorse, selling will take more loss to dump the card.. best to buy from a retailer that will pay return shipping if your not satisfied.. gpus are the new fake flash media.. quality ymmv by miles...
People will always buy GPUs. At most you can sell this for $350 when the new GPUs come out

The above item specs looks to be the same as this item: https://www.neweggbusiness.com/pr...14-932-299

Any difference?

Eh, why do people tell me this model is a better deal for the price than rtx 2070 if a front page deal on this is still barely below what a rtx 2070 would cost? Doesn't seem that much of a value.

5700xt blows 2070 out of the water. if it's 2070 super your talking about, show me a deal where it is significantly than $500 it is msrp'ed at. at that price 5700xt is just better value wise

I think this guys reviews are basically scientific fact. The gigabyte is one of the top 2 cards. The sapphire pulse is close but not even worth $10 more so whichever of the two are cheapest or if you have a case size limitation. https://youtu.be/5McVc0SQMHU

No. You don't know how to configure your computer. You are the type of person who should stick to Xbox. Seriously. You need to fully uninstall your old drivers in safe mode. Google it.

I built a few 3900x machines. Fantastic. I upgraded the cooler to dark rock pro just to get a quiet solution. I started with a 5600xt but now upgrading to 5700xt for a 1440p ultra widescreen. For 1080p gaming the 5600xt would be more than enough for many more years. But the 5700xt also has 8 gb memory which is nice to see. The new 550 motherboards look good but a little costly. I bought two different MBS of different generations and they both operate seemingly identically. Be sure to get at least a 650 watt power supply. I got a 850 watt just to be safe. But it's a seasonic so the fan doesn't even spin up until you hit 30% of max!
