5700xt blows 2070 out of the water. if it's 2070 super your talking about, show me a deal where it is significantly than $500 it is msrp'ed at. at that price 5700xt is just better value wise
isn't the super on sale for $450-$499 fairly often? I havent paid close attention, but thought so. Otherwise maybe I should get a 5700 xt, but I am kind of thinking nvidia is still the way to go. (I wont likely be getting a gsync monitor, but a lot more programs seem optimized for nvidia).

I have a popular 1070 ti that still sells for up to $500 on ebay sometimes, so I am tempted to sell that and get a newer card.

I've been looking at flashing a Power Color Red Devil 5700 for about $380 with the XT firmware. Or for $440 I could just get the factory XT.

Anyone have an idea how this compares to the Power color RD?

The above item specs looks to be the same as this item: https://www.neweggbusiness.com/pr...14-932-299

Any difference?
Thats the non OC version, 45Mhz less and more expensive (while the OC is on sale)

Is this the way to go vs the MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT? The MSI version is $360 after rebate.

Dang really tempted here but still too many horror stories of bad drivers crashing, and with new Ampere/big navi right around the corner...

Don't forget the discover/paypal 5% can if you bite on this!
I bought one last time the deal was on. Constant crashing. So much time wasted clean installing Windows, various driver versions, searching for solutions in forums. I eventually sent it back after trying everything I could find and messing with it for a week. Either the drivers are poor or the card was bad. Unimpressed either way. Sure, it's worked fine for some, but from my own personal experience, those holding out are not missing anything.

Thanks OP, just snagged one, I hope it works fine with an Intel I7, don't have an AMD CPU.

FWIW, NewEgg currently has this same card listed on their web site for $389.99 - $15 using 93XPM28 code, if you didn't want to go through eBay. Looking at the reviews though, the card looks fairly sketchy. I know there were a lot of issues with display drivers and the 5700XT early on, but even recent reviews for this card don't look that great. It kinda makes me wonder if it's a bit of a dog? They also have an XFX model for $379.99 that just went out of stock today, but has much better reviews. IMO the extra $10 is worth the piece of mind.
I don't recommend this at all. eBay has a far superior return policy versus buying off newegg . And this is arguably the best 5700xt. Better thermals than the xfx.

Avoid Evoke at any cost! Unless you want a kitchenware. MSI has overheating problems except premium model. The review says memory temperature at 100 Celsius under 100% fan speed.

Why is that Gigabyte is always the cheapest in price among the competition?

Great card when it works. But sadly it did not on my experience. Is just not worth the headache for me. There's a reason there's tons of negative reviews on this card and it never getting 4+ stars ratings on in any store. Maybe... some got a perfectly working 5700xt.. if you wanna gamble, entirely up to you. Just warning evrybody.. nothing against this deal or the OP.

I think this guys reviews are basically scientific fact. The gigabyte is one of the top 2 cards. The sapphire pulse is close but not even worth $10 more so whichever of the two are cheapest or if you have a case size limitation. https://youtu.be/5McVc0SQMHU

I won't discount his analysis, he certainly seems thorough, but I was thinking more along the lines of a survey of how many people have had issues with the cards. While I generally take customer reviews with a grain of salt, I do still try to not buy anything that isn't rated at least 75% of reviews at 4 or 5 stars. I feel like that gives me enough room to discount the occasional bad unit, the fact that some people are clueless or have unreasonable expectations, and the fact that people are far more likely to post negative reviews than positive ones. If I start seeing numbers much lower than that with a reasonable sample size I tend to suspect that there is a problem with the device/design.

Default everything. Everything at latest firmware. My only thought is my aged CPU -- FX-8370
I was just going to say you will see major gaming performance when you upgrade to a newer CPU. Last year when these came out I put a 5700 in my son's system that was running a FX-8350 and the performance increased but not as much as we though it would have over the R9 280 that was in there. Then we redid the system with a 3600 and his frame rate increase when up by about 3x as before. The older CPU will bottleneck your performance.
