This is the lowest price this (6qt) lid has sold for in months.
  • The Instant Pot tempered glass lid can be used instead of the pressure lid when slow cooking, sautéing / browning or using the keep warm function
  • Colorless tempered glass, large Stainless Steel lid knob. It has a steam release vent to reduce condensation on the underside of the lid
  • It is dishwasher safe and can also be used on the stainless steel inner pot in the oven up to 220c
  • It is 23 cm (9 inches) in diameter and designed to fit all Instant Pot 6 quart models

Got instapot for Christmas and still haven't unboxed it. What are you guys cooking in it?

I dont care for stew, but I do enjoy chili. I came close to trying to cook a brisket in it, but was talked out of it because that's an expensive mistake if it turns out badly (besides, my briskets turn out fine with smoking, so no real need to)

Black beans.

Anyone own it, and use it some of the time, and can confirm?

We just use a splatter screen when sautéing. You can even get one at the dollar store if you don't already have one. Otherwise we use one of our silicon covers if we just need a lid.

Price is not $9.30. It is $11.99 for both Amazon and Walmart.

I picked up one of these years ago and am so glad I did. It lets you use your InstantPot like a burner on the stove.

InstantPots are great for sauteing and simmering soups and stews. They heat up so much faster than a slow cooker. You can also adjust the levels of heat to make it easy to simmer without overdoing it.

I especially like to use it while traveling. It's useful in places that don't have a kitchen or if the existing kitchen is too crowded, e.g. during the holidays when everyone's cooking something on the stove.

Great investment imo.
