Great deal on a 144hz! How does this compare to Acer Predator?
Depends which model. I've got the Acer Predator X34p, which is 120hz, 3440x1440p, IPS panel, and has G Sync. MSRP is around $1k, but you can usually find it cheaper.

So the refresh rate on that Acer is a little lower, plus the price is like double this sale price, but the colors are better cuz IPS and it's got G Sync. I've got an Nvidia GPU, which is why I picked it.

That's the main difference really. If you've got an AMD GPU, you can generally get a Freesync monitor for like half the price of an equivalent G sync monitor.

Nvidia is compatible with Freesync. So that doesn't matter anymore. Gsync is slightly better tho

Literally just bought this today for $140 more than this and it shipped already so I can't cancel it Frown
If you got it from Amazon, just chat with CSR online for the difference back. No shipping required, but I wouldn't wait since the price would need to be when you contact them I would think.

You can also refuse shipment. Either tell the carrier once they show up, or I just print the tracking number out and say something like 'ups: please refuse shipment tracking# xyz'

Seems like a good price. I have the Samsung cf791 same specs and love it, I wonder how this panel compares color and brightness-wise

I don't mind spending a bit more but could use an opinion:

I tend to play most AAA games on console and not PC when I get them, though I do regularly game on my rig. Right now I have a 3900X/2070 and am interested in this monitor (if there's something that's not ridiculously priced I'd consider that instead) and hold onto my 27" 1440p one as a secondary. I could be convinced to just up the GPU to a 3000 series when they come out and get a 49" super UW, but I'm not sure I'd get much out of a super UW. Any thoughts?

I bought this monitor last December for $11 more and I love it. I use it to run aviation simulations like Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) and IL-2.
