FYI - Past two generation versions of this have issues with audio sync issues. If you only plan to use the built in audio your likely okay.

Again, this is false info. First of all, calibrating a TV is a far different process than just connecting it to a "cleaner" feed. Second, most stores now have Mag TVs on display outside of the actual Mag room.
I've seen with my own two eyes, Best buy and Fry's back in the days.

How does this compare with Vizio M8 series? RTINGS show H9 series has more brightness than Vizio M8 (both 2019).

New M55Q8-H1 has eARC support as well and will get in shops this month.

Street prices on 55" OLEDs are close to $1000. They can't be touched by any LCD.
Point me towards any OLED for $1000 please... Oh, wait... There aren't any. None. Zero. Zip. If you could link it it would go FP in 10 minutes.

Great price for what you get but, then you get screwed on the warranty. Costco has a Samsung in the same price range with 5 years warranty included. Doit
And no support on firmware . F Hisense

Because Sony 900H just got a crappy rating on rtings.com even though I take them with a grain of salt . 900H got a crappy review IMO

Nah Best Buy isn't doing that stuff. The one thing they do do is the Magnolia centers are more of an ideal lighting environment (darker) for OLEDs. I don't think that was designed to sell OLEDs (they were doing it before OLEDs were being mass marketed), but it certainly helps make the TVs in there pop more. But margin is margin and it doesn't vary that much from brand to brand. They don't care what you buy as long as they make a profit off it. They just want you to buy something AND a product replacement plan!

Also - when was "back in the days"? No one uses coax anymore to these TVs. It's all digital - they show USB sticks or blu-rays on loops.

I'm pretty sure my Hisense 50H8F has gotten more updates to it since Dec 2019 when I installed it than my Sony XBR65X850D has since 2017 when I bought it.

Look at the Magnolia branding, it's either Samsung/Sony/LG . They're getting money on top to promote those.

How was it a crappy review? It scored an 8.0, which is in line with their previous scores on older models/generations in the 900 line.

More FALD zones, supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision, far field voice control, and Bluetooth 5.0. They are supposed to have better uniformity overall as well.

I don't rely 100% on rting. They basically turn all the features off on the Sony which defeats the purpose of buying a Sony. Similar with Samsung, but some Samsung feature can't be turned off.

As per Hisense website, Dolby vision was part of H9F as well.
