FYI - Past two generation versions of this have issues with audio sync issues. If you only plan to use the built in audio your likely okay.

Look at the Magnolia branding, it's either Samsung/Sony/LG . They're getting money on top to promote those.
It's the top performing TVs, which happen to be from those brands. You would never see Hisense in a specialty audio visual store, which is what Magnolia is supposed to be. Peace

For the money, Hisense is great, but Magnolia is supposed to be stocked with the highest end, highest performing TVs (i.e. the most expensive ones)...

But I guarantee you, Magnolia sales are a fraction of what Best Buy sells. 90+% of the TVs people buy aren't in Magnolia. So I am not sure what the point here is...Do you really think someone goes to Best Buy planning to buy a Hisense and walks out with a 77" OLED for $4000 because of some trickery?

Top performing, the Samsung Q60 isn't anywhere close.

Yet not considered good enough for Magnolia at Best Buy.
Magnolia means nothing, it goes by the retail price so Best Buy can get more profit. Samsung Q60 and LG Nano series are both listed as Magnolia tvs. Both don't hold a candle to the H9G.

They get money to promote anything that has it's own display or endcap (which Vizio does in store as well as the Sony/LG/Samsung). My lord you are misinformed. I am also curious as to how you saw the supposed inferior feed with your own eyes. Haha was there a cable hanging out the back that said "low quality feed"?

Again, they want you to buy products that have more margin. Second to that is products that are high revenue. Guess what products cost more and typically have more margin? Things such as higher priced TV's and Audioquest cables.

I worked in about 7 different stores over a 15 year time frame and your claims are simply untrue. Nobody is "decreasing" the performance of TV's. Especially because in the end, they want to sell you something and attach the margin components such as install, warranty, cables, audio, etc.

No, they have this magical thing call the remote control so you can check the calibration.

You originally said they had different feeds, now they are calibrated differently? None of the tvs are calibrated! That would take substantial time and effort, equipment, and a knowledge of how to do it. None of those things are commonly possessed by most of the people displaying or selling the tvs in the first place.

Again, you're misinformed. I can't argue the point anymore, you have your mind made up. Didn't mean to start a pissing match, but wanted the general public to know that it's simply untrue. Hisense and Vizio make some great stuff and it is also not manipulated in the store to look anything other than that.

I said the magnolia feed vs other stuff was different.

I said nothing about professional calibration. Only to make one TV look better than the other, it would take five minutes top, a child could do it.

How many dimming zones in the 55H9G?
Sony has shown that more is not necessarily better.

Just want to throw my 10 cents in. I purchased the H9G 65in it was fantastic. Very bright and beautiful picture. Returned it because of odd motion artifacts on black surfaces in games when i jumped or strafed with my character. Red blur smears. Kind of distracting. My replacement was the 55in Sony X900H thinking it's Sony it should be way better and right off the bat i knew I had made a HUGE mistake after playing my first game. The only thing going for the Sony is the slightly and i mean slightly better motion than the Hisense but man does the Hisense destroy the Sony on every other levels. This X900H isnt even as sharp as my old 49in Q6FN that I had! You can really tell the zone numbers is hurting it as you can see large spots in the screen changing it is terrible. I would 100% buy the Hisense even for the artifacts I seen. It could of been the panel. The Hisense is premium the x900H is a major downgrade to the X900F and the 900E. The HDR peak brightness is almost half the Hisense. I noticed it right away. You are 100% getting ripped off paying out over $900 on the Sony. Hell I wouldn't pay over $700 its that bad. I think I'm going to try the Hisense again or go to the Q70R because the X900H Sony was a disaster imo for either SDR/HDR gaming. Not to nit pick further but the text on the Xbox One X using this tv looks so bad. If this is Sony's PS5 TV then yikes. i agree fully on the Rtings rating. Pick any other tv but the Sony or wait for Vizios new line. I'm sure whatever Vizio has in store will be better than this Sony smmfh never again.

Ugh I am seeing the same thing.

Lot of people starting to post about it in the AV forums. Hisense is supposedly saying its not on all TVs and they are replacing the ones that get reported.

I put in a ticket with Hisense, I'll report back the results.

Oh wow really, the AVS forum where the members return 5 tvs before they find the one "without any problems". That place is a joke.

If it is really not an issue with all H9Gs people should really be looking at this. It's a pretty distracting motion artifact.

Doesn't really matter where the info is posted.

I ordered one from Amazon and noticed that TV heats up really quickly. It gets hotter than any TV I have come across. Works great as a space heater I suppose. Is this normal?
