Is it true you cannot hose the deck/mower down for fear of electrical short?

Taking a road trip this weekend across Florida and I checked a number of stores across my route - all were $599, unfortunately... if you're interested at $600 Spring Hill, FL has some in stock.

I own this mower. Got it at $600 and used a 15% off coupon earlier this summer. I am happy with it. It's a bit heavy but other than that it's great. I wasn't able to switch the blades cause it's too hard to remove the existing ones but the existing blades do so well I only bag once every month.

I am all in (pretty much) on EGO. I have the weed eater, leaf blower, (hand held) chain saw,(refurb on it's way) and hedge trimmer. I now have the lawn mower thanks to this post!

I love all EGO products except the weed eater/trimmer. The line sucks and breaks far too fast. However, the loading is quite nice and I tolerate it..

Have you tried other line? I only had line breaking issues when the line was too small. I'm happy with Husqvarna's new Titanium X Force.

You can't use the 15% on clearance prices like this though, right?

I'll give it a go and thanks for the tip. We need to be careful because my last ego trimmer, the dude at Home Depot recommended the hard plastic blade which burnt the motor out in less than 10 minutes of use.

FYI 3 left in HD Cumming, GA

What an awful recommendation!

Like I said, I wasn't in love with the EGO line. You need to feed it a fair amount. I used some 0.08 line in a pinch, and it was horrible. It definitely requires 0.095 line. The Husqvarna stuff doesn't break anywhere near as easily. Even their Titanium Force (which is much more ubiquitous and well-known) should be better.

Thanks OP, I've been searching for a good deal for months. On brickseek I found a store not too far where it was "limited inventory" on clearance. I called the store to order it directly from customer service and gave them my credit card over the phone. Very happy.

Thanks and rep to the OP! I was kicking myself for not buying this model mower from Craigslist last week for $475. The guy wouldn't give me his receipt for warranty purposes. Now I have a brand new mower and warranty for an extra $50.

Email from EGO yesterday announcing a zero-turn mower for 2021 season
All the push mowers I have ever owned have been zero turn?

"A bit heavy"
What are you comparing it to? This is like 15-20 lbs lighter than most gas mowers on the market. And it's about a similar weight as the other similarly powered electric lawn mowers

BEWARE
I have LM2022SP, 20" Brushless steel deck, for two years and one day it would not start. The propel worked butthe blade would not spin.
I brought it into Home Depot 5/26/20 and still don't have it back.
No loaner, NOTHING. I had to buy a used mower because I heard, from the EGO forums that you can expect a 4-6 week turn around on repairs.
It could be any one of at least three switches or the wiring harness or the electric motor and HD cannot fix anything locally
FYI
