Thinkpad T14s with Ryzen processor 50% off

Use code THINK50 for 50% off.

I configured a 4750U w/ 32gb ram, 400 nit low power screen. Stuck with 128gb SSD will replace with a 1 TB.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/lapt...2TPT144SA2 >Now $1132.50 with above configuration

My config came in at $1,117 after coupon. I had done the X13 deal with a 4650U, 16gb RAM. It also did not have an option for a 400 nit screen, so I went with the 300 nit. That config was about $200 less than this, I think this is a better deal.

As another poster mentioned, this deal includes double points.

Op can you please change title to "ThinkPad T14s AMD" cos t14 doesn't allow you to use 50% coupon.
Also mrsp is ridiculous and discount is bs.
AMD pro cpu perform less than other Renoir versions be aware of that.

Which non pro CPU are you comparing it with? The 4800u or 4700u? The 4750 Pro is significantly faster than a 4700u, but slower than the 4800u (due to lower clock). Single threaded performance is pretty much identical for all three.

I had the same thoughts, but I've honestly had great luck with thinkpads.

I trolled reddit looking for data, and some users have done us a service of a really early review. I am coming from a T460p so I can't wait.

Well ... seems like Screen quality isn't that great. I simply don't get it. Why can't professionals get great screens? ConfusedConfused

The price actually drops when you add the Fingerprint reader. Must be a glitch. Does EPP reduce the price even more?
I believe when you select fingerprint reader, it removes the backlit keyboard. That's why the price is "cheaper".

I do have MBP 16 inch but its kinda heavy and not portable enough. Same is true for Precision 5530.
I skipped Envy 13 b/c 13 inch is a tad smaller. 14 looks very sweet spot b/c portability and software development. Am eyeing Yoga C940 now Smilie

IdeaPad slim 7 4800u 16gb 512gb
But this product has qc issues. That's why we still don't see in USA. Source: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/142439120
So until we see a 4800u this pro cpu is best choice. T14 with one empty sodimm is better than T14s. And funny enough both 45% and 50% discount codes don't work on customized t14 as if they don't wanna sell it.

I don't know about these days. But in the IBM & early days Lenovo Thinkpads had the highest quality hardware. I heard from a tech that serviced fortune 500 companies PCs. He said because in mission critical situations Thinkpads offered service plans that included same day repair or replace & restore data plans. These service plans were up to $2,500 each laptop. So they could keep the huge service plan fees instead of paying out in same day tech servicing & replacements.

What's the additional teacher/student discount? Hope these AMDs and Apple Silicon lights a fire under Intel and we see progress and price wars.
