Thinkpad T14s with Ryzen processor 50% off

Use code THINK50 for 50% off.

I configured a 4750U w/ 32gb ram, 400 nit low power screen. Stuck with 128gb SSD will replace with a 1 TB.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/lapt...2TPT144SA2 >Now $1132.50 with above configuration

My config came in at $1,117 after coupon. I had done the X13 deal with a 4650U, 16gb RAM. It also did not have an option for a 400 nit screen, so I went with the 300 nit. That config was about $200 less than this, I think this is a better deal.

As another poster mentioned, this deal includes double points.

I keep hearing about this CB stuff in various threads but nobody mentions specifics... am I crazy or just very out of the loop.

can you give me a hint where to research this CB stuff?
Well talking about cb is against forum rules cos both companies are competitors. https://lmgtfy.com/?q=get+cash+back

appreciate the humor, but is it related to a credit card or just straight up a better deal site that gives money back to the user instead of hoarding all profits like sd?

do you know if the privacy guard makes the screen more annoying with viewing angles? can it be turned off somehow when using the laptop?

I really like the idea of having 500nits brightness but am wondering if the 400 nits without privacy guard is better. I'm not really watching porn in public anyhow

I went for pretty much the same spec as you, and added windows pro, the fingerprint and card reader given it was all 50% off the prices listed. What SSD are you buying?
I ended up just sticking with a Samsung EVO 970 Plus 1TB. I probably could have founds something cheaper, but Samsung seems to be about as solid as you can get with an SSD.

i believe it can be turned off as per quick google search. 400 nits says low power non touch, not sure what to make of that. So I went with 500 nit touch panel.

You constantly upgrading your ram? The vast majority of users will never upgrade in their lives. Having soldered RAM should not be a deal breaker if you have enough.

This unit was just released and my guess is that this coupon working to get 50% off was an error.
It would be nice to have that option. The bottleneck on my circa 2014 laptop is the low amount of RAM. $50 for more RAM is preferable over hundreds for a new machine. Plus, look at their crazy upgrade prices. $149 to go from 8GB to 16GB or $447 to go from 8GB to 32GB. They couldn't get away with that if the RAM was user replaceable.

The price actually drops when you add the Fingerprint reader. Must be a glitch. Does EPP reduce the price even more?
not a glitch - Lenovo (psst, this isn't owned by IBM anymore) )gains fingerprint data from user = value to them. They like you to keep the cam and mic and wifi in too. All provide great data about user and environment of user.
