Just learned about this while talking to AT & T customer retention department and they said it officially starts tomorrow. You have to provide proof (check stub, teaching license, id badge, etc.)
Saved me quite a bit of money. You can do this in a local store or call and they can email you a link to upload proof.

We also were able to get 4 IPhone 11 for $58 per month after $10 monthly credit but that was not teacher related. Didn't have to turn in our old phones either.

Might be better off staying with ATT prepaid Walmart plan if 8 + 16gb is enough. At least it has hotspot

2 lines starter is $90 + taxes & fees with autopay and paperless billing enabled.

Extra gives 15GB Hotspot
Elite gives 30GB Hotspot
Thanks. I'm still not sure what hotspot even means in this context, but oh well. I'm currently on an AT&T family share, so I'll probably just stay with that.

Sweet! I was asking them for a better promo than the 10%-15% during at home learning, since I had to use my cell phone to make daily parent phone calls & texts. I'll be contacting them tomorrow!

Do I have to move my account to first net to get the discount? Any down side to doing this?

Nope. The account has to be changed into wives name. Only military discount is eligible for spouses.
