Normally I'd love to have LTE in a tablet like my iPad air 2 but in 6 months this will become a zombie tablet. Do we really want an always connected device without security updates?

Isn't this just $325 on Samsung website? It usually goes into the high $200s when it is on sale. This is just the generic price for this tablet now.

I just received a security update today and it will get Android 10 later this month.

It amazes me how people are concerned about security updates. If you don't go to any sketchy websites NOTHING will or can happen!!

I NEVER update anything until an app no longer works, updates break older apps and I customize my devices of which major updates waste my time learning new layouts.

Same thing with a computer, I don't use an anti virus I've NEVER had a virus of any kind. If you use a bit of common sense there is absolutely NO NEED for security updates or virus scanners UNLESS you need to be on a new OS for an app or program which will no longer work.

I still have XP machines that I'd much rather use that are far more productive than my crappy Windows 10 machines. I prefer Kit Kat or Marshmallow to Pie or 10. I will never understand people wanting new OS's but I am a computer tech person and do have COMMON SENSE!
How do you know in advance if a website is sketchy? You've got to be kidding.

I'm use (2) S2's a 9.7" & 8" the form factor is great for Web browsing, if I want to watch something I'll cast to my Big Screen TV. I'm typing this post on it.... with NO security updates and still on Marshmallow, which is GREAT.... NO updates needed or wanted!

It was announced in February 2019. First added to Amazon in April 2019. Definitely not "2+ years old".
