This RJ-45/RJ-12 Modular Crimping Tool allows you to quickly and easily strip, crimp, and trim EZ Passthrough RJ45 Modular Connectors. In one motion, the tool will trim excess wire off the end of the modular plugs and crimp the connector onto the cable. -slickdewmaster

What's actual normal price on this?
No way this is $91 regularly, even platinum tools isn't that bad lol

Edit: to be clear, I think this is decent/good price for the item but the strike thru price is absolutely ridiculously inflated.
the link you posted doesn't seem to be a pass through crimper.
Remove the panel plate and look at the wiring. They often used cat5 / cat5e 4 wires for landlines. If it's cat 5 then you're out of luck since that won't support standard gigabit and only 100mbps and not to mention the crosstalk issues.

If it's cat5e (gigabit) then you can simply replace the keystone with the appropriate one and punch down wires.

That's a dirt cheap price, if it's truely a quality tool like my Platinum one. Even with zero reviews, it's worth taking a chance. TU OP!

Tks for this, was in the mkt for a new crimper with pass-through. For this price, worth a shot!

Discounting the list price, looking at Google Cache [googleusercontent.com], this was $36 back on July 8 so this looks like nice savings.

Not exactly the same tool, Mono's doesnt look like it is a ratchet. But the one you listed is $13.26 at Home Depot. But yeah, there seems to be at least 7 different company names on this tool.

This is probably the wrong place to ask but figured it would be a good start.
I don't have any ethernet cables currently run in my house. I wanted to run a couple lines from the living room where my modem and router are through the walls to a couple other places.
Would this and some cat 6 cable be my best bet? Along with some wall jacks on both sides. Longest run will be about 10'.
I was thinking about getting coupler style jacks on each wall and just buying long pre-terminated cables but don't know if that's a good idea.
