15% off Eufy Indoor Cam 2K ($33.99) and Indoor 2K Pan & Tilt ($42.99) when purchased in app with code

$33.99

The eufy Security app showed a 15% discount off of their:
Indoor Cam 2K $39.99 to $33.99 using code APPIDC2K
Indoor 2K Pan & Tilt $49.99 to $42.99 using code APPIDC2KPT

I tried the code on their web store and it didn't work, so this is likely in-app only.

Shipping was also free.

It says the code is valid for 9 days, however when they did the pre-order discount on these cameras they pulled the code early after selling out.

Yesterday they released the firmware update enabling Apple HomeKit support including Home Kit Secure Video.

One of my two cameras received the update (v2.0.6.9), while the other is still at 2.0.6.6 (no HomeKit support), so they are rolling this out slowly.

Just looked into this, you're wrong. It pans and tilts.

I think redlikemethodz is saying that while it does pan left to right, it can only tilt up wards. If you want it to look down you need to mount the camera upside down.

For some people this can be a problem. If you want to set it on a shelf that's up at eye level, the view could end up being 50% ceiling, and miss a lot of what is happen down where pets, and people are.

Correct. The non-pan version can be pointed up/down/left/right on it's little stand.
I will say that the range of tilt downwards could have been a little more for my use case. I ended up tilting it down as far as it would go, and then had to tip the stand forward slightly to get the view I wanted, but that was for a cam located up high on top of some cabinets well above eye level.

This seems like a significant oversight, no pun intended.

Technically it tilts down but hardly. http://imgur.com/gallery/eUVJ1si

But what do I know, I only own two of these. I'm glad you corrected me with your research.

Eufy security, I don't like their products. It requires accessing their server, which is not necessary.

Thanks for letting me know the Homekit (non HSV as well) is up. After I DL the new firmware I have to give permission to add it to Homekit i have to reset the camera settings in Eufy app all over again.

Anyways I heard the STREAM QUALITY for Homekit is only 1080 even though the cam is capable of 2k.

Btw not all cams have firmware available yet. My tilt has it and one non tilt but the other non tilt still doesn't have the new firmware.

I had the same experience. Just a word of caution, if you decide to switch HomeKit support off (like I did this morning) the only way is to hold the reset button on the back of the camera for 10 seconds until it beeps twice for a full factory reset, then re-add the camera as a new device.

There are instructions in the app for how to remove it, but that only removes the camera from HomeKit, it doesn't actually turn off the HomeKit setting in the eufy app. Hopefully they'll get that resolved in a future software upgrade.

Enabling HomeKit disabled RTSP, after trying it out I decided to go back to RTSP.

I agree about the video quality. Both HomeKit and RTSP are highly compressed 1080p stream rather than the nice 2K stream.
