Great little lens. I use it to take photos of myself and loved ones while traveling. It really is surprisingly small for a full-frame lens, and 18mm is just about as wide as anyone might need. It autofocuses well, and is quite light too.

I know nothing about camera lens but isn't Samyang like Korean instant noodle company? They make camera lenses?

I have the 45 and 75 and these new Samyangs are awesome. Colors to me are noticeable different
Size is perfect. In for 1 for sure.

I have this lens, not the sharpest but for that price is a no brainer for a wide compact lens

But it is very cheap plastic, will prbly break in half if it falls to the ground. I paid $250 "used".

It's an FE lens. E lens is not full full frame.

I thought it was a toaster from the image. So you're not doing poorly in comparison.

While Samyang is also the name of a company that makes noodles, This Samyang/Rokinon makes lenses

I wish more MFT lenses went on sale on Slickdeals, I feel like its always E-Mount and the occasionally EF mount lenses.

Can't decide between this and the Tamron 20mm f2.8. Anyone tried them both? Obviously besides the 2mm difference, I'd love to know how they compare image quality wise and focus speed.

There was a mft deal just days ago also on slickdeals. You should see many sales on mft lens and bodies since it's being phased out

Tamron is generally the better lens. Their 2.8 primes (20/24/35) are hidden gems for sharpness, they resolve remarkably well all the way up to 61MP on A7R IV. The 1:2 macro capability is handy too.

The one major gotcha with the Samyang is the corners, which are not great even stopped down.

Both have a ton of distortion but it's a regular barrel pattern and is easily correctable. Tamron already has a dedicated lens profile for ACR/Lightroom so this is moot. Samyang didn't last I checked but you can just use the Batis 18 profile for now.

AF is just fine, more than sufficient for this focal length anyway.
